I'm not standing out
I may be a conformist
But that is not my fault

"Iwa-chan, what are you doing this Saturday?" Oikawa asked.

"I'll be at home, why?" Iwaizumi asked while finishing his breakfast.

"We'll go to a club, wanna join?" Oikawa asked once again.

"A club? For what?" Iwaizumi furrowed his brows and Oikawa rolled his eyes.

"For fun! You haven't went to a club or bar in a long time. Let some steam off or something." Oikawa wiggled his brows at him.

"Walk to work alone." Iwaizumi blantly said and stood up to wash his dish.

"What? Oh c'mon, it's a good idea! Maki was the one who suggested it." Oikawa replied.

"Not everything Maki says is good." Iwaizumi said and gave him a thumbs up while his back was facing Oikawa.

"So, you'll stay here like a grandpa?' Oikawa had a disgusting tone towards Iwaizumi.

"Yes." Iwaizumi replied.

Oikawa sighed and gave up to continue finishing his meal. If you think about it, Iwaizumi was caught up on a girl who doesn't really care about him and only showed up after 6 months. Before that girl, he was talking to some other people that only lasted for 3 weeks or less.

"Iwa-chan." Oikawa called out.

"Yeah?" Iwaizumi was drying up his hands and looked over at Oikawa.

"Just reconsider, okay?" Oikawa gave him a faint smile.

"Fine. Just don't smile at me again, it's so weird." Iwaizumi gave him an ick look and Oikawa nagged once again.

Ever since they were in high school, Oikawa was a ladies' man. Girls would always ask him for pictures or get his signature. He even had a fan club and girls made merch of his face. They would always cheer him on and be overall fond of him.

Iwaizumi doesn't physically stand out compared to Oikawa or at least that's what he thinks. Iwaizumi was the vice captain of boys' volleyball team at Aoba Johsai. He would get praises and compliments, too, but not as much as Oikawa. Iwaizumi liked being low maintenance when he was in high school, but they're adults now. Some people from their batch have a partner or a family.

It's what he wants for himself, but somehow the universe is against it. Iwaizumi had serious relationship/s before, but it didn't last as he hoped it would. He let the universe do its thing, but it seems like he's getting more hopeless.

"Iwa-chan." Oikawa called out again.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"There's a high school reunion on Saturday. Plans of going to the club are canceled. You wanna come?" Oikawa asked.

"Yeah, sure. I'll have more reasons to rethink about my life." Iwaizumi sarcastically said.

"Not everyone that will attend has a good thing going kn in their life." Oikawa replied.

"Count me in." Iwaizumi nodded and grabbed his bag.

"If you remember this person, Y/L/N will be there." Oikawa said and looked back at his food to finish it.

Ah, yes. Y/L/N, Iwaizumi's batchmate.
