Regardless
Maybe, just maybe
I was living my life wrong~
Iwaizumi took out his phone to check the time. He was waiting outside of a cute diner downtown. He kept checking himself out if he looks decent or not. Iwaizumi felt nervous while waiting for Y/L/N. He bought flowers before going to the diner.
"I hope Y/L/N likes flowers." He whispered to himself.
He was staring at the flowers and didn't notice that he smiled. Maybe, he still likes Y/L/N after all these years. Iwaizumi looked up and kept waiting for Y/L/N to show up.
He found a bench beside the diner and decided to wait there instead. Iwaizumi didn't mind waiting for Y/L/N. He knows what he's getting himself into and has accepted it. Iwaizumi only hopes that Y/L/N will give him another chance.
While he was scrolling through his phone, his phone rang. It was a call from Oikawa, his friends must have been waiting for an update. He accepted the call.
"Iwa-chan! Any updates?" Oikawa asked
"Well, Y/L/N might be running a little late. Although, I don't mind waiting." Iwaizumi replied.
"I'm sure Y/L/N will show up. Probably nervous like you." Matsukawa couldn't help himself, but to jump into their conversation.
"What did you say Matsukawa?" Iwaizumi asked.
"Nothing! Have fun tho! Matsukawa immediately dismissed what he said.
"Yeah, I'm sure it was nothing." Iwaizumi playfully rolled his eyes while checking both sides if Y/L/N had arrived.
"What time did you guys agree on?" Hanamaki asked.
"Y/L/N requested around 8pm." Iwaizumi replied and checked his watch. It was almost 9pm.
"Has Y/L/N texted yet?" Oikawa asked.
"Nope, the last message was around 7:54pm." Iwaizumi answered.
"Oh, okay. We'll keep you company if you want." Hanamaki suggested.
"No, it's okay. I'll just wait for Y/L/N. Thank you." Iwaizumi replied.
"Alright, in about 30 minutes or so, give us updates." Oikawa said.
"You're very nosy." Iwaizumi rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, and what about it?" Oikawa sassily replied.
"I'll get going now." Iwaizumi said.
"Okay, have fun! Enjoy the rest of the night." Hanamaki said.
Iwaizumi ended the call and checked his inbox. No messages from Y/L/N. Iwaizumi internally calmed himself down. There's no need to panic, maybe Y/L/N just got stuck in traffic. Besides, it's a Friday night, either stuck in traffic or at the office. He continued to scroll on his phone to distract himself.
Iwaizumi kept taking deep breaths to calm himself down. Good thing he installed offline games to keep him distracted, as well. The group chat is active because his friends are nosy. It has been 45 minutes and there were no replies from Y/L/N. He was hesistating whether he should text Y/L/N again or not. Iwaizumi doesn't want to seem like he's clingy or anything.
"Should I text Y/L/N?" He asked himself.
After a few minutes of staring at Y/L/N's name, he received a text message from Kuroo. That's odd, how did Kuroo get his phone number? He asked himself. Iwaizumi felt his heartbeat racing, he didn't want to open the message. Then after a while, the rain started to pour heavily. He ran into the diner and took a seat an empty booth.
"Why do I get the feeling that it's bad?" Iwaizumi whispered to himself.

Hello! I sincerely apologize for being inactive once again. School has been hectic and I have a summer subject to finish. Rest assured that there's only 2 chapters left. Thank you for patiently waiting. I'll see you on the next update.
