Baby, oh baby
You weren't supposed to be in this song
You have the wrong keys~
"Here's a beer." Matsukawa said and handed Iwaizumi another can of beer.
"Thanks." Iwaizumi weakly replied.
Iwaizumi opened the can and drank it like there's no tomorrow. Hanamaki wanted to stop him, but Oikawa lightly held down his wrist on the sofa. Matsukawa sighed and went to the kitchen to get another can. Iwaizumi had a total of 5 beers already, this is his 6th can.
"Iwa-chan, slow down." Oikawa quietly replied.
"What for?" Iwaizumi groggily said and hiccuped afterwards.
"Alright, that's enough for tonight." Hanamaki said and stood up to clean the table.
"No, no, I want more." Iwaizumi said while shaking Hanamaki's wrist.
"Iwaizumi, enough." Hanamaki sternly said.
"Alright, geez. I just want a beer." Iwaizumi held his hands up and kept shaking his head.
Oikawa kept checking his phone before looking at Iwaizumi. For the first time, Oikawa was very quiet around Iwaizumi. He can tell how hurt Iwaizumi must have felt when Y/L/N was not able to show up for their date. Matsukawa noticed how strange Oikawa was acting and decided to sit beside him.
"What's up?" Matsukawa quietly asked.
"Huh?" Oikawa asked back.
"You seem anxious, is something wrong?" Matsukawa asked once again.
"Nope." Oikawa said while Matsukawa chuckled lightly.
"Yeah, that's not going to work on me. Tell me." Matsukawa replied.
"Fine, just don't tell it to those two. They might lose their shit." Oikawa said.
"You have my word." Matsukawa said before bringing his right hand to his left chest.
"It's about the Kuroo and Y/L/N situation." Oikawa whispered.
"Let's talk outside." Matsukawa whispered back and stood up first, then Oikawa followed.
"Where are you guys going?" Hanamaki asked.
"We'll buy an egg soup and a shit ton of painkillers." Oikawa replied.
"I don't like egg soup." Iwaizumi said while slightly pouting. It is a clear sign that he's intoxicated.
"Well, what would you like to have?" Matsukawa asked.
"I want a corn chowder soup." Iwaizumi said and gave them two thumbs up.
"Okay, we'll be back in 20 or 30." Matsukawa said.
As the two closed the door behind them, they can hear Hanamaki trying to calm Iwaizumi down. They believe that Hanamaki has it covered. It wasn't the first time they handled a drunk Iwaizumi, but him being heartbroken is another variant. This heartbroken Iwaizumi is in their top 10 worst Iwaizumi drunk moments.
"What should we rank this?" Matsukawa asked.
"If this is not top 1, then what is?" Oikawa jokingly said.
"Remember when we went to a bar and he got rejected 3 times. He was so drunk that he asked the bouncer if he can climb the building." Matsukawa said.
"Definitely in the top 10, for sure." Oikawa chuckled.
"Those were really fun times." Matsukawa replied.
"Ah, I have one. What about the time when we celebrated Hanamaki's promotion?" Oikawa laughed.
"Oh yeah! Iwaizumi was so drunk that he insisted on washing the dishes because the workers were tired and underpaid." Matsukawa smiled.
"Even when he's drunk, he's still very considerate and caring." Oikawa replied.
"Do you think he deserves this?" Matsukawa asked.
"I'm in no place to answer that, Matsun." Oikawa sternly said.
"Right, what about the Kuroo and Y/L/N situation?" Matsukawa brought it up and Oikawa stopped walking.
"Honestly, we aren't just getting him painkillers and corn chowder. We're meeting with Y/L/N at Sakanoshita Market." Oikawa said.
"Former coach Ukai's store?" Matsukawa asked.
"Yup." Oikawa answered.
"Why there?" Matsukawa asked.
"I'm not sure. Y/L/N picked the location." Oikawa replied.
"Oh, okay." Matsukawa agreed.
"Kuroo's text to Iwa-chan was about Y/L/N." Oikawa said.
"What was it about?" Matsukawa asked.
"Maybe, Y/L/N never got over what Iwa-chan did when we were in high school." Oikawa sounded unsure.
"What's the point?" Matsukawa asked.
"Kuroo told Iwa-chan that Y/L/N was not interested on pursuing Iwa-chan." Oikawa replied.
"Then, why did Y/L/N have to act so immaturely?" Matsukawa asked.
"To make sure that Iwa-chan felt the same way like what he did to Y/L/N before?" Oikawa was confused, as well.
"That's very low, though." Matsukawa replied.
"Yes, but I'm still not sure. That's why we have to meet up without Iwaizumi. It's much better if he stays at home." Oikawa said.
"Good call." Matsukawa replied, then both of them continued to walk.
