Chapter Fifteen - My Confessions

"Damon is so fucking hot." Cassie sighed.

"Bitch, are you fucking blind? Stefan is way hotter.."

"Actually, Klaus is. You're both fucking blind."

Maddy, Cassie and I were curled up on the sofa binge watching the one and only Vampire Diaries. I haven't seen them in a while and i've been skipping a lot of school lately, so it was nice to catch up.

Maddy shuts the laptop and turns to look at me.

"Hey! Why'd you turn it off? Klaus was in that scene.."

"Because you've been acting really fucking weird lately, and Cassie even agrees."

Maddy turns to face Cassie.

"Right, Cassie?"

"Maddy, don't bring me into this. But since you already did..Sarah, you've been acting very-distant lately."

"What-"

Before i could finish Maddy cut me off.

"I thought we already had this conversation before. Are you going to tell us why you're acting like you secretly hate us?! I mean, do you secretly hate us or some shit?"

"No- no. That's not it at all."

"Well? Then what is it?" Maddy asks with a hint of annoyance.

I could either own up to it and tell them that i've been fucking her ex, or lie about it..again. Maybe i shouldn't have hung out with them.

"Well, it's kind of private."

"Sarah, when have you ever kept a secret in your life?"

"Cassie, that really helps."

"Sorry-"

"Okay everyone shut up. Sarah, what the fuck are you hiding from us? Cmon, your our best friend, you tell us everything and we miss you." She pouts.

Now what the fuck do i say?

I had to own up at some point.

"If i tell you, you're going to fucking hate me."

"Wait what the fuck do you mean by that?"

"Sarah?"

I had to get this over with. This would change everything for me.

"I slept with Nate Jacobs."

Maddy looked angry and confused, while Cassie's jaw was on the floor.

"You what?!" Maddy yelled as she gets off the couch which causes Cassie and I to also stand up off the couch.

"Just, let me explain please!"

"No-NO! You better fucking run. You fucked my ex, and you were pretending to be my fucking best friend?!"

"No, i didn't pre-"

"How long?"

"What?"

"How long have you been fucking my abusive psychotic ex?" She raises her voice.

"About a month.."

Maddy makes her way over to me but Cassie grabs her hand to stop her.

"Maddy, stop! Let her talk."

Maddy turns to look at Cassie.

"She fucked the one guy who i've cried to you guys about after he fucking choked me and abused me in so many fucking ways. She lies about it, and then she stands here and tells me without a fucking explanation?!" Maddy faces me again.
