Sarah POV

Lexi opened her front door with a welcoming smile. I knew she was happy to see me, and so was I, really, I needed a break from Nate and I truly missed Lexi.

"Hey old friend." I joked as i walked inside with Lexi closing the door behind me.

"Hey, Sarah. I missed you so much."

She pulled me in for a hug. I wrapped my arms around her and rested my head on her shoulder, just as she did to me.

"I missed you more." I muttered.

We pulled away from the hug and she dragged me into the living room.

"Let's watch some old girly movies and catch up, i got us Ben & Jerry's!" She squealed as she jumped on the couch.

"Oh my god you're the best! What movie?"

"Hmm.. what do you think?" She asked me with an attitude.

We both loved watching this one old movie in particular, we always watched it every sleepover we've had.

"10 things i hate about you obviously!"

"Yes! Can you grab the spoons from the kitchen while i get the movie started?"

"Yeah sure thing!"

I head into the kitchen to grab the spoons from the drawer beside the stove, just as i shut the drawer, Cassie comes into the kitchen.

"Oh, hey Cas."

"Hey Sarah! You and Lexi hanging tonight?"

"Yeah, you wanna join us?"

"No, it's okay, i'll let you guys catch up. Plus, Lexi doesn't really want me intruding."

"Yeah you're probably right about that." I laugh.

"Alright well, i'll leave you to it!" She says as she starts to make her way out of the kitchen.

Before she leaves, i have to ask her something that's been on my mind lately. I've been so focused on Nate and the baby, that i've totally forgotten about what happened with Maddy.

"Hey, Cas?"
I ask causing her to stop and turn back around.

"Yeah?"

"How's Maddy holding up?" Her smile disappears as she makes her way back into the kitchen.

"You want me to be honest?"

No. I don't want you to be honest, but after she said that, i needed to know.

"You're freaking me out..but yes, be honest."

"Well-" She starts, but was cut off by Lexi before she could finish.

"Sarah, what's taking so long? Do you not remember where the spoons are?" She asks as she makes her way to the kitchen.

"Sorry- i got distracted."

"It's fine, Cassie can you leave us alone please? We're trying to watch our favourite movie!"

She smiles as she looks at me and drags me out of the kitchen before I could hear what Cassie was going to tell me.

We sit back on the couch and Lexi looks dead at me.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" I laugh.

"You've been acting weird lately. You said on the phone you wanted to explain everything, so, talk! We need to catch up."

She was right, she deserved to know. She's done nothing but be the best friend anyone could ask for, and i don't tell her anything.
