Godparent duty - MONSTA X

A/N: How's everything going so far? Turns out that the storm only caused havoc in Eunice! Good thing too, because mom said that we live in the inland so you can imagine the chaos....

Anyway, let's get on with the story!

Me and Gowon hanged around with our friends, MONSTA X as usual, when all of a sudden, the doorbell rang. 

"Ooh, they are here!" Kihyun said. 

"I'll go and get it!" Jooheon stood up and went to the door.

Jooheon opened the door to reveal Mingyu and Lisa hand in hand. 

"Hi, everyone." Lisa smiled.

Mingyu and Jooheon hugged each other before doing the same to Lisa, but only a little gentle as he didn't want to harm her baby. 

Her baby bump is really showing through her dress, like a round ball inside her tummy. They went to the living room and we hugged them too. 

"OMG, Lisa. How far along are you?" I asked happily.

"I'm around 23 weeks now." She said, caressing her baby bump, "Also, I've been snakcing for some very strange cravings." 

"Yeah, speaking of which, can you believe that she ate some potatoes with jam and whipped cream with pepperoni on top?" Mingyu asked. 

We bursted out in laughter over this weird combination of food. 

"Honestly.... no offense, Lisa, but I don't think that sounds incredible as you think it would." Gowon reasoned with her. 

"I know, but I can't help it though. Not to mention, I'm obsessed with loads of sweetthings like ice cream, chocolate.... you name it." Lisa replied, "It's a whirlwind, but in the end, it will be worth it for our little one." 

"Speaking of which, is it a girl or a boy?" Minhyuk asked. 

"Well, we've went to the GP last week and the gender is..... a boy!" Mingyu exclaimed. 

All of the boys cheered and chanted a football chant, making us all laugh before joining in. 

"I can't believe it.... what do your friends think about it?" I.M asked. 

"The boys are eleated, they can't wait to show them everything of what they know. They keep asking me of who will be their best uncle." Mingyu rolled his eyes playfully.

"As for me, the girls are ecstatic, especially with Jisoo because she won't be a single mother anymore. Now she gets to have preggie buddy!" Lisa exclaimed. 

"Oh yeah, she did tell us a month ago." I recalled, "So who will be the godfathers?" 

"Well...." Mingyu looked at Lisa and she nodded, "We've been hinking that we have a lot of people who support our relationship and our little prince. It's not easy at first.... but time after, we've made decision that you 5 will be our godfathers." 

The boys looked each other in both excitement and pure shock. 

"Wait, are you serious?!" Minhyuk asked gobsmacked. 

"Yep! Congrats!" Lisa applauded.

"You guys are like our best friends who always supports us and have our back from the very start. You're like our older bothers, so on the greatest day on our lives, what do you say?" Mingyu asked. 

Kihyun and Hyungwon went forward and hugged him tight, Minhyuk is jumping and bouncing off the walls, and Jooheon and I.M were still in shock, trying to process what the on earth's going on. 

"Of course we will. We swear in the name of things that are holy, we'll take this legendary role to our graves, hearts, bodies and souls." Hyungwon said with a few tears. 

Jooheon is already bursting into tears as I went over and embraced him with Lisa following. 

"Thank you.... we won't ever let you down...." Jooheon sobbed.

"We know that you won't." She wiped his tears away and gave him a sweet smile.

"Wow, we're so excited for you." Gowon jumped up and down with Minhyuk. 

Minghyuk lifted her up into the air with the smile on his face, bigger and shinier than the sun itself.  Gowon giggled as she embraced his shoulders before being put down. 

"Hahaha, this is wonderful news. Words cannot say how much I wanted to be a godfather! I feel like some kind of god right now!" Minhyuk beamed. 

"Hey, do you guys want to see our pre-baby pictures?" Lisa asked. 

We all nodded our heads as she brought some from her wallet.

17 weeks later, the couple is at the hospital and Lisa is dying over wanting to get her son out of her as soon as possble. 

"You're doing great, babe!" Mingyu held her hands. 

"Th-hanks!" Lisa yelled. 

After a few more pushes, her son is officially born. crying and wailing in between. 

"Oh my gosh.... that was exhausting...." Lisa put her head back onto the pillow, feeling drained. 

"I know, but you did so well, babe. Look, our son has made it into this world because of you." He reassured her. 

Meanwhile, me, Gowon and the boys are either sitting on the chairs anxiously, or just pacing around the floor for some news from the doctors, or anyone, for that matter.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the labour is a complete success. Miss Manoban and Mr Kim now have a beautiful baby boy." 

Some of us took big breaths in relief while others jumped and other cried in happiness. We've then given permission to go and join them. 

On the bed, the baby boy is handled wrapped in a light blue towel with Lisa carrying him. We walked in deliacately, not to alram the newborn as he's sleeping peacefully. 

"Oh my gosh..... he's so cute." I cooed at the newborn.

"What did you name him?" Kihyun asked.

"We decided to call him... Lucas." Lisa said.

"Ooh, that's a sweet name." Kihyun replied. 

"Wow, hello, little Lucas. Welcome to the world." Gowon cooed at Lucas. 

"When are you friends coming over?" I asked. 

"Yeah, they are all missing out on the adventure." I.M said. 

"Don't worry, we have a few days here before Lisa gets discharged. My friends will be arriving any minute and the girls will fall in soon after." Mingyu replied. 

We each took turns on holding baby Lucas in our hands, staring at his little figure. Meanwhile the couple looked at each other and Mingyu gave a kiss on the forehead. 

"I'm so proud of you, princess." Mingyu said. 

"Thank you...." Lisa said, "I can't wait to start a beautiful bond with our son."
