Next week, it's New Year's eve. But for me, that's like time running out for me, because I have Hankahai disease. Can you believe it? Right now, it's temporary and that's fine but the only thing is that when the New Year's over, I'll be stuck with it permanetely unless I can find my soulmate.
I don't even know what my soulmate even is! I first got it at October and every day, it's like choking on air. It's so hard to breathe and it gets even harder ever day. But they say that your soulmate is someone who you have fallen in love with or have a crush on.
I did some quick thinking and after a while, it made sense that Siwon is my soulmate! I've always had a crush on him ever since I met him, I mean who wouldn't? He's super cute, he's funny and I feel like I can do anything wth him by my side.
Now I am on a mission to confess to him and share a New Year's kiss with him in order top break the curse or otherwise, it will be too late. The phone has started ringing and I saw that it's the talk of the devil.
My heart started beating out my chest and I feel like hacking up some petals again. As I pressed the answer button, I continued hacking before I was done.
Hello?
Wow, Y/N. That's some coughing, are you alright?
Yeah...... don't worry about me..... so what's up?
We're throwing a New Year's party next week and we would love it if you can come along.
Oh? Really?
Yeah, but if you're busy and have already got plans.... I understand.....
Somehow he sounded a little bit disappointed and sad when he said that.
No, I don't have any plans. I would love to come!
Great! I'll see you there then!
I hanged up my phone and I squealed before coughing up some flower petals.
Hopefully, I'll get my kiss in time.....
In the meantime, Siwon's worried over Y/N. It wasn't soon as Heechul came over to him and saw a pained expression on his face.

"Is something wrong, Siwon?" Heechul asked.
"I think something's wrong with Y/N. As I talked on the phone with her, it's like her breathing is all ragged. And I wonder why..... she's not sick, is she?" Siwon asked.
Heechul looked down to the floor, wondering if it's okay to tell him or not.
"Siwon...." Heechul replied, "Y/N----"
The door then opened and it revealed to be Leeteuk with all smiles.
"Hey, we're going shopping for next week. Do you guys want to come along?" Heechul asked.
"Sure, I'm coming. You coming?" Heechul asked.
"Uh...... yeah, okay." Siwon replied.
New Year's eve has arrived and everyone is having such a wonderful time. As I arrived at the boys dorm, I can see everyone either drinking, dancing or chatting with friends.
"Y/N!"
I looked to see Siwon waving over at me and my heart started to pump out of my chest. Carefully, I swallowed my petals down my throat and walked over to him like everything's fine.
"Hey, we're glad you can make it. You look incredible!" Shindong replied.
"Thank you, so do all of you!" I smiled brightly.
And so after hours of dancing, drinking and eating, and occasionally going to the toliet to throw up some more flower petals, I looked at the time and it reads 23:55. My heart immediately dropped to the floor and my skin was sweating.
Midnight will start any minute now...... I have to talk to Siwon! Now!
I excused myself to find Siwon and once I did, I tapped on his shoulder.
"Oh, hey, Y/N. *notices something's wrong* Is everything okay?" He asked.
"I really need to talk to you for a minute, can we go somewhere private?" I asked, in a hurry.
He nodded and we both headed outside.
The sweet cool breze blew past our skin as it helped me a little of caling me down. I looked at my phone and it read I have only 4 minutes.
"Okay, since we don't have much time left, I'll say it right here and now. I have Hankai disease and I've been diagnosed it since October. The only way for me to be cured is to...." I said.
"To give you a kiss?" He asked.
"How did you know?" I asked.
"Heechul told me the other week." He replied, "Why didn't you tell me this?"
"That's the thing... you might think my feelings for you are only because of the disease..... *starts sobbing* But that's not the case at all..... I really like you, Siwon. But I'm terrified that you don't feel the same and...... then I have to go and get surgery and all my feelings for you will die, but I don't want that! I want to share a future with you! YOU HEAR ME, I LOVE YOU!!!! I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH THAT IT KILLS ME!"
And with that case, he planted his lips on mine and I closed my eyes, feeling everything all at once. In the background, fireworks started booming from the sky and it decorated the pitch black darkness with colors. As we pulled back for air, he gave me a look to let me know that he loves me too.
All of a sudden, I felt like coughing up bunches of flowers. I hacked and loads of small boquets of flowers came out of my mouth, but once I'm done, I feel like a new person. The throrny pathway is slowly dissappering if not, vanishing into thin air.
"Are you okay?" He asked, clearly worried, "What does this mean?"
"If you cough up flowers like these, it means you're cured! I'M FREE! I CAN FINALLY LIVE!" I let out tears of happiness.
He proudly smiled at me and lifted me up into the air.

A/N: Don't you guys love happy endings?
Both to this chapter and to this year! We had a good run with this year and we can't wait to see what will 2023 will bring us! Some new things to discover? Who knows? No one knows what the day will bring, we just have to wait and see.
Oh wait, we don't have to because ONEUS will be helping us start 2023 right! I can't wait to see what they have in store for us!
In the meantime, Super junior is back with Mango!
And I love MANGOS! Even though they taste a bit like cheese...... Anyway, I perfer the drink, thank you very much.
