Chapter 4: (Operation Begin)

"What do you mean Lady Freya?" A deep voice called out to the woman who was gazing outside of her window. "I've never seen anything like that in all of my years alive." Ottarl the man who was watching over his Goddess, of course, knew that she meant a soul. "What is it that makes it different?" Freya smiled as her hands caressed the glass in front of her.

"It's a transparent soul, so pure and unrestricted that you'd think they were godly themselves... However, there's a red string of fate tied to the soul, an indication of the meddling of those darned fates..." It caused a scowl to rise on her face. All of the most beautiful souls she had ever seen unfortunately had that string of fate.

It usually meant that they would become something incredible or lead to something disastrous. "Which will you become..."

- Twilight Manor

"So these are some of the positionings' that we have in our expeditions, you'll be placed on the rear as support until we can get you enough experience; Ais would be here on the vanguard as she's a level three, and Gareth would be on the frontline as he's a level 6." Bell nodded as he worked on memorizing the names and their roles, he wanted to be useful, but he knew he was far too weak.

It had been 2 days since his first venture into the dungeon and this was Bell's 2nd lesson with Finn. The first day they had gone over what an expedition is, how the currency is different here compared to the outskirt villages and cities even farther beyond that. Later he had a lesson with Gareth about how to maintain his weapon.

He had been praised by Gareth about how well kept the weapon was, he couldn't tell him, that his Grandfather had barely given it to him, that that was the reason it was still well-maintained. The blade had barely seen any action in its life.

"I'll be in the center point, that way I can move either direction for support while also being able to relay information across the entire formation, Riveria and the mages will be in the rear, they will be our aces to cast their magic and ensure our victory. Rearguard needs some work, but we have it working with Raul and some of the others when necessary."

Finn smiled at Bell who nodded. "Perfect, let me give you a small scenario, I want to see how you would think about it." Finn laid out a map with some chess pieces, some were [Monsters] while others were, [Loki Expedition]. It was pretty straightforward what he was trying to have Bell do. "How would you approach this as the centerpiece, the king?"

Bell looked at it and his eyes lit up as images flashed through his mind, Finn felt as the air around Bell changed, 'So it's not just with swords... this should be the Reincarnator skill, no?' Finn watched him closely and licked the pad of his thumb. "Move the Frontline into a center-heavy formation, have the Mages focus fire equally on the left and right ends of the formation."

Bell was staring at the paper uttering his thoughts as if he was possessed. "The Vanguard will work to rush through the Monsters as soon as Gareth in the frontline can open up a gap, they will create a single file line through the sea of monsters and cause confusion amongst the enemies." Finn couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Then the frontliners will drop their shields and switch to melee, at this point, there are now two battles occurring, the Vanguard is lucky that they hold someone like Ais who had speed on her side. once this occurs, their position would crumble and they would gather in almost a circle-like mass." Finn couldn't help but smile.

"That would be when Riveria and the mages would destroy most of the forces with their combined fire leaving just enough time for the vanguard to fall deeper into the dungeon to allow no harm to come to them." Sweat dripped down Bell's face as the air around him went back to normal, he wiped the sweat and nodded. "I think that would be, the best way for it." Finn grabbed the Enemy king and toppled it over.
