Chapter 5: (Ichor & History)

"You have quite the nerve to say that to me." Loki slammed her bottle of wine on the table as she looked at the God sitting in front of her. Hermes gave off a small chuckle at the current predicament, but he too was nervous about everything. "Loki, I say that because of the situation we're in." His smile dropped and he held a serious expression.

"If Bell dies here, we may never see the dungeon get cleared or the final of the 3 quests get completed." Loki who was slightly drunk clicked her tongue, "I call bullshit! Why the hell should an 8-year-old kid have to suffer so much!?" Hermes looked down at the hat he was holding in his hands.

"Loki." His eyes were absolute as he realized this is what she really needed to hear to get convinced. "This will never. Never. Leave this room. Understood." His eyes were cold and even the trickster Goddess could understand this was something that could tip so many scales. "I swear it on my Territory on Tenkai." Hermes nodded as he tapped his foot on the floor.

"Bell is the son of Meteria, we know that, however, we also know that Meteria and Alfia were both sick." Loki nodded. "Did you know that Meteria had the sickness a lot worse than Alfia? She was bedridden and shouldn't have lived more than 8 years." His eyes stared into Loki resolutely as he continued.

"Hera gave her her Falna because she wanted to see her live longer, that's why she never really rose in the ranks and isn't really heard of." Loki nodded. "Now come a few years later and a supporter from Zeus goes ahead and knocked up this incredibly sick woman, do you really think she should have survived through the pregnancy with how much she loses in nutrients?"

Now that he was mentioning it Loki leaned forward realizing this is where the fun truly begins. "Zeus and Hera gave some of their Ichor to her to help keep her alive." Loki froze in her place. 'Ichor? They gave her their blood?' Her mind began to race at the thought of something so unthinkable. "S-She should have died!" Hermes smiled and Loki gasped.

"She was already going to die if this kept her alive long enough to give birth why would she not take the chance!" Hermes smiled as he leaned forward. "So then a boy was given birth too, at the moment of birth a prophecy was born for the boy. The boy had partial Ichor flowing through his veins, and because of that, he was able to begin upgrading his status without ever unlocking his Falna."

Loki had never heard of this before, it was simply unthinkable to be able to use the power of the Gods without ever receiving their Falna. "But that's not where it ends, the boy who had been born with the blood of 2 Olympian Gods, and 1 of them being one of the strongest in all of Tenkai. The fates could only cringe at the fate that lay for the boy." Loki's eyes widened as she muttered out.

"Fatestrung." For the first time, Hermes looked at her confused, "Fatestrung? What is that?" Loki took a heavy breath as she leaned back he bangs covering her face. "His skill, an inescapable vow from the fates... So that's what it means." Hermes frowned at the information. "A skill at level 1?"

Loki nodded as she continued, "He also has another skill, but it has no description." Now Hermes was truly intrigued. "A descriptionless skill? That's a first, what is it called?" Loki wondered if she could truly trust the God, but her intuition said he wouldn't do anything to truly break Bell. Meddle, possibly, but nothing to ruin his future.

"It's a weird Skill called Reincarnator, that's all it says on the status sheet." Hermes began to hum as he tried to get his mind racing. "I'm guessing you've already tried to see if he has any memories of the past?" Loki nodded, "What about any dreams?" She nodded, "Visions?" She nodded, "Voices?"
