Chapter 7: (The Rabbit and The Wyvern)

- Flashback 1 Year Ago

"Alfia." A voice boomed towards the heterochromatic woman. "What is it Zald?" The man who held so much power in the past was sitting on a stone waiting for their eventual death. "Do you regret not being able to raise Bell?" It was a question she hadn't been expecting, not when they were waiting for Astrea Familia to come down and end their lives.

"You know the answer to that Zald." Alfia had given a cryptic answer, and yet, Zald knew what she meant. "What do you think Zeus is teaching him right about now?" Zald continued the somber talk as if he decided to try and have human emotions for the first time in forever.

"I don't know... I just know... Meteria most likely would regret being my sister." Zald knew what she meant, he too knew now that they had gone around this the wrong way. "This is our only way to atone... For letting Erebus manipulate us like this, it's time to move on." Alfia nodded as the faint sound of footsteps began to echo through the halls of the dungeon.

"I wish... We could have been heroes ourselves..." With a self-deprecating smile, Zald Alfia embraced for the last time before Astrea's Family finished them off.

-  10 Days After Bell's Status Update

"Kiddo. I think I'm not going to update your status until the end of this week. I'm going to lose my mind if you keep going on these slaughters. I don't want to lose a year of my life each time..." Of course, she was trying to joke, however, Bell could only nod knowing that there was no point in arguing.

"Okay, I understand." He stepped out of the room preparing to take care of his weapons and armor. "Didn't think he'd actually leave. Well, I'll be damned." She was ready to update his status, it had been ten days, she was sure that most of his stats would begin to rise much more than before.

Bell, on the other hand, was fine with waiting. He felt like he was almost there like there was a wall right in front of him, he had already stepped one foot through this wall, now he just needed to move the rest of his body. Using a Whetstone to maintain the Durandal weapon, he sharpened and sharpened the blade.

Gareth had shown him a blacksmith yesterday, and so he had begun to imitate it based on those voices that whispered in his mind. 'It's weird.' His mind was calm, calmer than it had been in so long. He still had those dark thoughts from time to time, whether it be from ending his life, or from being abandoned.

His thoughts carried a weight that he was unable to get out of. Those thoughts, however, had begun to disappear since yesterday. When he had gone to buy some Armor with his hard-earned Valis he noticed the people that were trailing him. He had thought that he would need to hide when out of nowhere, they were taken care of.

The person who saved him had most likely not realized that he had caught a glimpse of them, an Elf with light green hair, and jade eyes cold and dull. She had been the rumored Elf, Gale Wind; the last living member of Astrea Familia. When he had first seen her yesterday, he was unsure as to what to think, here was a person who killed his supposed parents.

However, she had lost everything as well, and she'd even saved him, the question is, would she had saved him if she knew who he was. Those thoughts had kept him up later than expected these last 10 days. As his legs carried his body outside the manor he carried his sword on his back, adjusting the final straps on his armor.

'I need to clear my mind.' 2 more days and he would be able to receive a status update, until then, he wanted to keep moving forward. "Bell." Hearing a voice coming from behind him, Bell turned to look at the Doll Princess, Ais.
