Jennie wasn't sure how long she allowed herself to be held by Lisa. How long she cried into Lisa's neck. She didn't even have time to feel guilty that maybe she shouldn't be doing this to Kai, or Lisa for that matter. She just needed to feel warm and comforted after six years of torture. Six years of missing Lisa. Just a moment of peace before her world shattered again. She just needed to be selfish for a little bit so she could find the strength to carry on.

Once Lisa had managed to calm Jennie down enough to turn her cries into sniffles, Lisa gently spoke. "Jennie, did we lose our baby?" The first thing Lisa had noticed was that Jennie didn't have her pregnant bellly anymore and had figured that aside from being happy that Lisa was okay, she thought Jennie had been crying because she had lost their child. She still remembered Jennie's screams before the doctor had hung up on her and she rushed to the hospital.

Jennie squeezed Lisa one last time to brace herself before pulling away. She looked into Lisa's eyes before saying, "Lisa I have to tell you something."

Lisa's heart dropped.

Jennie noticed and rushed to say that the baby was fine, cursing herself because she was already messing things up.

Lisa's eyes lit up, "you had her?"

"I did." Jennie smiled softly.

Lisa beamed proudly, almost in tears, but immediately her smile dropped, "I wasn't there for you. I heard your screams on the phone. You were in pain and I wasn't there for you."

Jennie melted because of course the first thing Lisa would think about would be how she might have failed Jennie. Lisa was always putting Jennie first.

"Lisa, it's okay, you were in an awful accident trying to get to me, you tried to be there." Jennie lifted her left arm up and squeezed Lisa's hand.

Lisa tried to let the words reassure her. "Where is she, it was a girl right?" Lisa giggled. "Was I right? I was right, right?

Jennie almost rolled her eyes at that. "Yes, Lisa, you were right."

"How big is she? You think she's gonna be tall like me or short like you? Does she look like you? Actually never mind she probably looks like a little alien right now, maybe in a few more months we'll be able to tell. I really hope she looks like you." Lisa rambled excitedly. "I can't wait to hold my little baby girl in my arms. I hope I do it right."

Jennie didn't have the heart to break it to her. She wanted so much to let Lisa live in this little bubble. To let Lisa marvel and hope and wonder and worry about a baby Ella. She hated the fact that she had to rob her of that. That she was the one that had to make Lisa face reality. That Lisa had missed out on years of Ella growing up. It was devastating because Jennie just knew how much Lisa had been looking forward to raising their baby. Even though Lisa always vocalized how nervous she was about making a mistake or somehow inadvertently traumatizing their child, Jennie always knew Lisa was going to be the perfect mom.

"Lisa, I have something to tell you." She said again.

"Hmm?" Lisa hummed as she nodded her head.

"I really don't know how to say this, but you've been in a coma."

Lisa's head tweaked to the side, she had already figured she'd been asleep for a while considering Jennie had already had their baby and because of the fuss the doctors had made when she had woken up. All those brain tests clued her into the fact that she had probably been out for a few days at least.

Jennie knew Lisa was confused, "Lisa, it was a long time, you've been asleep for a long time."

"How long?" Lisa was still unsure of where Jennie was going with this.
