Jennie begged Lisa to let them take her to a hospital to treat her injuries but Lisa kept insisting she was fine.

Jennie made Jisoo stop at a convenience store anyway when Lisa wouldn't budge and pretty much bought out the entire medicine aisle. Lisa had protested when she saw Jennie carrying several bags when she walked back to the car but Jennie promptly hushed her.

She didn't let Lisa go home that night, ordering Jisoo to drive them to the house.

"Are you okay mama?" Ella asked worriedly, seeing the amount of blood caked on her mama now that they were indoors and the lights were all on.

Jennie was currently busying herself with opening all the ointments and gauze and bandaids and pain killers she had bought to treat Lisa with.

"I'm fine babygirl, don't worry. Most of this blood probably isn't mine see?" Lisa tried to smile but winced again, her busted lip stinging.

Ella immediately touched her cheek.

"You don't look okay." She said worriedly.

Lisa tried to reassure Ella but gave up knowing the little girl was as stubborn as her mother. She opted for asking her best friend to tuck Ella into bed instead. It was super late already anyway.

"Come on Els, let's get you to bed." Rosie urged.

The little girl whined in protest but listened when Lisa pouted at her, telling Ella they could do whatever she wanted tomorrow if she went to bed for her right now. Ella told her mama goodnight, giving her a forehead kiss and telling her to feel better.

"Chaengie?" Lisa said before they went upstairs.

The blonde paused, turning back.

"Thanks for having my back, what you did back there was pretty badass. I always took you for a lover not a fighter. Remind me never to piss you off."

Lisa tried to smirk and ended up wincing in pain again.

The blonde just smiled at her best friend and winked.

"You're right, I'm not a fighter, but no one touches my family and gets away with it," she said simply. Picking up Ella and taking her upstairs with her without another word.

Despite her pain, Lisa was left feeling warm and incredibly lucky to have found her chosen family.

Jisoo and Jennie had been fighting in the kitchen over the medicine that Jennie had bought for Lisa. Jisoo had tried to steal some of the stuff insisting her wife probably needed the painkillers too after punching that guy.

"Just let me take a few!"

"They're for Lisa, Unnie!"

"What about my chipmunk!"

Jennie eventually relented and let her take some of the stuff upstairs with her for Rosie. She realized she was being a little unreasonable in her panic over Lisa.

Jennie really couldn't really ever think straight when it came to Lisa though, but she finally came to her senses.

She owed her Hubby for defending her girl after all.
