Lisa got a letter in the mail the next day from SNU that was addressed to Jennie. She looked at it confused, wondering why she had received it.She called Jennie immediately.
"Hey, can you come over to the studio?"
"Sure, what's up Lisa?" Jennie tried not to sound too excited at the prospect of seeing Lisa again.
"There's a letter here for you but I have some clients right now so I can't take it to you right away and I think it might be important."
"Oh, okay. I'll be there in a bit." Jennie tried to finish nonchalantly.
Jennie scrambled to get ready, she'd been in sweats, hair in a bun, working on her laptop. She got ready in record time.
Jennie showed up just as Lisa was finishing up with her current session. Jennie tried to contain her jealousy at the fact that Lisa was telling the girls in front of her that they had been naturals. Gushing about how good they looked.
"You guys look gorgeous, I think we should use this one for the cover. It's giving like a sexy femme fatale concept." Lisa said, grinning at them.
The girls just giggled excitedly.
Jennie narrowed her eyes at the scene. Lisa and her stupid models. Jennie almost hated the fact Lisa was so good at her job that she kept booking prestigious clients like magazines that wanted her to curate their photos. It meant Lisa got to work with models. Really pretty, tall, skinny models that sported bedroom eyes as Lisa took their photos.
Jennie should have known it wouldn't take long for Lisa to get this successful again. Jennie really hated models ever since Lisa took up photography.
She stopped holding herself back when one of the girls grasped Lisa's arm as Lisa showed them one of the pictures she took from her camera. Nope, too close.
"Lisa" she said a little too sharply, attempting to get her attention.
Lisa looked from where she was standing, smiling as soon as she saw Jennie.
"Excuse me guys. I'll send you and the magazine the sample prints as soon as I edit them. You're free to go." She told the girls before running towards Jennie.
"Hey! You got here pretty quick." Lisa said.
"Well I don't live very far," Jennie said dryly.
"I guess you're right," Lisa said smiling, oblivious to the fact that Jennie was doing her best not to be angry at Lisa for being such an accidental flirt.
"Come on, I left the letter in my office," Lisa said, taking Jennie's hand.
Jennie gripped Lisa's hand hard, looking back at the girls Lisa had been taking photos of. Fully intending to find the girl who had held on to Lisa's arm. She met the stupid model's eyes and smirked. She swung Lisa's arm a little so the girl would notice how Lisa was holding her hand then looked away with a flick of her hair once she was satisfied that the girl got the message. Hands off. My Lisa.
Lisa of course was oblivious to it all.
——————-
Lisa handed Jennie the letter, "I'm not sure why I got this."
Jennie looked at it.
"Oh." She hadn't expected a response from SNU so soon.
If Jennie was being truthful, she would have told Lisa she had sent the application in like Lisa had asked and addressed it to come back to Lisa so they could open it together. Just like they had when she was in high school.
