"BETS! PLACE YOUR BETS!" Fred and George Weasley shouted amongst the crowd in the cold morning.

The day of the second task had finally arrived. Ginger hadn't been seen at all that morning by anyone who had been asked by Alex, Cedric, and the twins. The four of them shared a curiosity for the curly-haired Ravenclaw who had a hold on all of their hearts.

"You don't think she was actually serious about not coming do you?" Cedric worryingly tore his gaze through the endless crowd, nervous about his best friend not being there to support him. Deep down he knew she wouldn't purposely miss this nerve-wracking event but he couldn't help but feel a little upset for her absence.

"Fred, you haven't seen Ginger, have you?" George effortlessly looked for the familiar head of curls Ginger owned.

"No I haven't, she's probably with Pretty Boy Diggory. Though, it would be nice to see her after reading that article," he joked. George's cheeks flared red at the mention of the lovely article he had been thinking about nonstop since Lee ran into the common room shouting about it to the twins.

"Shut up," he elbowed his twin while hiding his face in his coat.

"Welcome to the second task!" Dumbledore's voice echoed. "Last night something was stolen from each of our champions. A treasure of sorts. These four treasures, one for each champion, now lie on the bottom of the black lake. In order to win, each champion need only find their treasure and return to the surface. Simple enough. Except for this, they will have one hour to do so and one hour only. After that, they'll be on their own."

Murmurs circled around the crowds wondering what the objects could possibly be. "You may begin at the start of the cannon." Cedric cast one last glance over the horde of people before casting his charm at the sound of the cannon.

And with that, he dove in to find what exactly had been stolen from him.

AN HOUR HAD PASSED AND CEDRIC WAS FINALLY APPROACHING HIS LOST TREASURE. There in the water, four people had been tied to the bottom of the lake, all of them with the effect of looking as if they were sleeping.

Harry Potter had seemed to have gotten there only moments before Cedric. Upon approaching the area, the sight of familiar curly hair and freckles came into his view. Ginger. He sighed in relief having a confirmation that she most definitely hadn't skipped out on the task. Cedric whipped out his wand to relieve her ankle of the rope that had been tying her down in the water and took a look at Harry who had just been watching. He tapped the watch that had been secure on his wrist as if telling Harry to hurry up.

Then he left the boy without another interaction with Ginger in his grasp.

Cedric swam to the surface of the Lake as fast as he could while also taking his friend with him. The moment they reached the surface of the water, both spells on the teens wore off and cheers erupted from around them.

Ginger gasped heavily with widened eyes, taking in her cold surroundings with Cedric holding her up by her waist while she gained her senses again. "What happened? Why am I in the water? Did I drown or something?"

"Cedric Diggory has done it! He's successfully retrieved his lost treasure and has completed the second task!" Dumbledore announced answering her question.

"Oh Ced, I'm the person you would miss the most! How sweet!" She exclaimed while remaining in the water, she then grabbed his face and kissed his cheeks all over.

"Shut up before you drown us both." He chuckled swimming over to the platform with her still in his grasp knowing she wasn't the best swimmer.

Allowing Ginger to get out first, Cedric climbed out right after her desperate to get out of the freezing lake water. When they arrived on the platform, multiple people came around to congratulate Cedric and give them towels to keep them warm. Alexander moved through the crowd to greet his friends. His eyes lit up at the sight of Ginger and he greeted her with a quick hug.

George and Fred kept their distance from the trio. Fred did because he wasn't all too close with Cedric, aside from friendly rivalry in Quidditch, and George did because he didn't know what exactly he would say to Ginger after of the sight of her kissing Cedric only moments earlier.
