THE NIGHT OF THE YULE BALL HAD FINALLY ARRIVED AND EVERYONE ATTENDING WAS EXCITED AS EVER. Ginger was in awe of the way her gowned looked since she hadn't taken a look at the thing completely.

It was an angelic periwinkle with silver details all around it, stars and things had been laced within the details to add more personality to the dress which made Ginger adore it even more, and the back of it had a monochrome ribbon to lace it up like a corset. The shape had been so simple yet so perfect for Ginger she truly did end up knocking over things on her bedside table.

The time for her to begin heading to the Great Hall was nearing closer and closer as she continued to get herself ready. She used her wand to tie up her hair in just the way she wanted to and to put little hairpieces to have her hair match her dress with silver details in it. She would've used her hands to make it more simple but her mindset of being adamant on looking presentable had overthrown all logic in her mind for the last two hours.

"Ginger!" a voice from outside of her dorm called her. She recognized the voice belonging to Alex and smiled to herself opening the door for him having her eyes meet a boy dressed in classy dress robes. His jaw dropped at the sight of her in her gown, in all his five years of knowing the girl he had never seen her dressed up like she had been let alone in a dress like the one she wore.

She stared at his awestruck expression with amusement gracing her freckled face and closed the door behind her. "Close your mouth, you might get moths flying in," she giggled stepping down the steps that lead to her dorm.

Alex quickly followed suddenly feeling protective of his friend no matter if she was older, "if that ginger hurts you I will drown him," he threatened.

"I realize our group has a reputation for threatening to drown people," she shrugged. He nodded his head thinking about her words for a moment.

      "Perhaps we do."
