Chapter 4.

I woke up the next morning feeling refreshed. It was Saturday morning at about 9.30 am. Then my door burst open and Luke walked in. "Ughh! What?!", I groaned. "And good morning to you too", he chuckled. Before I could protest, he was lying on the bed beside me, ontop of my duvet. I pushed him over and he fell onto the floor. Sadly, he pulled the duvet with him, making me roll ontop of him. "This is oddly comfortable", he smirked. I rolled over so I was lying beside him and looked into his eyes. He looked across my face and his eyes lingered on my lips. I was going to stop him from kissing me but suddenly felt I didnt have the energy. He rolled over and put his arm across my waist. "Ew", Luke's little brother Tyler gagged. We both looked over to him in surprise. "Doesnt anyone knock in this house?", I sighed, "Anyway get out you two. I need to get dressed". Luke kissed me on the cheek and then pushed his brother out the door to give me privacy.

"Lauryn! Morning sweetheart!", Luke's mom, Vanessa smiled. "Hey", I grinned. "Im making pancakes if you want some", Vanessa led me into the kitchen and handed me a plate. I thanked her and went to the dining room. After I ate, I helped wash up and then went to join the boys in the living room.

"How long do you think I'll have to stay here?", I asked awkwardly.

"A couple weeks or so... Probably less".-Luke.

"Thank GOD! Dont think I could take much more of you 2 snogging!".-Tyler. My face went bright red and I knew Luke noticed because he only laughed and high fived Tyler. I scowled at both of them and then went to my room. I was so bored and I still felt really awkward. I mean I knew our parents were close but I never thought Id be living with them! So I did what I always do. Sat down on my bed and listened to Jason Walker on my iPod with my beats. I dont remember how long I had dozed off for but I do remember, however, Luke lying beside me when I woke up. I was still half sleeping and I rolled over to toss my arm across him. When I realised my arm wasnt touching the bed, my eyes flew open and I looked at him accusingly. Luke didnt smirk at me like he usually did. He simply gazed at me and dropped a kiss on my forehead. "What was that for?", I started to whisper but Luke placed his finger on my lips and I hushed. He tilted my chin up to him and kissed me. The kiss was softer and sweeter than usual. Normally he'd be quite forceful but this was actually quite nice. I turned round so I was facing him better and he did the same to me. When we finally pulled away, we simply lay there with his arms round me until lunch time.

The day went by fairly quickly after that and I went to bed at about 11ish. For some reason I felt really tired. So I got myself organised and into bed. I stared at the ceiling for hours but I couldnt seem to sleep. At roughly 3am I got up and went to Luke's room. He sat up when he saw me. "Cant sleep either?", he whispered. I shook my head. Luke moved over in the bed and allowed me to lie beside him ontop of the sheets. Id never thought Id say this but Luke is actually a really nice guy! We lay until about 8am talking... Just talking... And even though I knew I was going to be so tired the following day... It was completely worth it.
