Chapter 10.
I looked out of the window into the back yard. Tyler and his friend Emily were playing together. I smiled as I remembered times when my aunt would play with me infront of our house. Gosh, I missed my family. A tear spilled onto my cheek and ran down my face. More tears followed and I leaned my head back and sobbed. Someone knocked at my door so I dried my face the best I could and called them to tell them to come in. When I saw that it was just Luke I burst out crying, really crying this time and we threw our arms round eachother. "Dont, Lauryn. Ignore Brooke... And I know you miss your family but you'll see them soon", he muttered into my hair. "Sooner than you think", came a familliar vouce. I slid awkwardly away from Luke and smiled up at my parents who were standing in the doorway. I ran up to them and hugged them. When we pulled away, they gushed over how beautiful Id gotten over the last few weeks and told me how much they'd missed me. My mother and I chatted about Zach and clothes and other girly nonsense while my dad eyed Luke thoughtfully. "You like my daughter?", he said curtly.
"As a friend, sir".
"Really? Didnt look like that when we walked in on you. And that Zach's a loser anyway. Id rather she was with someone like you".
"Dad!", I gasped. I glared at him angrily.
"Thats enough, John", my mom intervened.
"Well its true".
"Shes with Zach, not Luke... She loves Zach. Dont you sweetie?".
"I dont know mom... We havent been dating that long", I blushed.
"Well it was love at first sight with your father and I".
"Sometimes it isnt that simple".
"Why are you with him still if you dont love him?".
"I... I dont know, okay?! You guys are literally just back and you're already interfearing with my life! I think you should all just leave me alone for now... I cant do this right now so just go", I yelled and ushered Luke and my parents out of my room, closing the door behind them.
I fell to my knees and burried my face in my hands. I'd ran out of tears but I still wanted to cry.
Later, Luke came into my room. "Look what I got us", he grinned, waggling something in my face. I took one of them and looked down to see... "No way! I thought they were sold out! And how do you know I like Biffy Clyro?", I grinned at the ticket in my hand. "Firstly, you play your music way to loud and secondly who doesnt like Biffy Clyro?!", he laughed. I squealed and hugged him tightly. When we loosened our grip on eachother we stood in a kind of embrace, staring at eachother. His eyes lingered on my lips and he started moving closer to me slowly... I felt me self going closer to him too. Once our faces were inches appart we crashed out lips together. He stroked my hair and pulled me to sit down on his knee as he perched on my bed. I laced my arms round him neck whilst his remained in my hair. "Lauryn?", came a voice from the doorway of my room. Reluctantly we pulled apart and smiled at eachother before turning to see who had spoken. I immediatley leapt up away from Luke. "Zach I--". "Save it", he spat and stormed away from me. Normally in situations like that, I would cry but I felt fine, Relieved, almost. I didnt know what to do with myself. Isnt kissing your boyfriend's best friend the first sign of being a slut?
