Chapter 6.
Zach and I hung out at his place on Saturday. We watched movies and chatted and stuff... "I feel like the luckiest guy in the world", he smiled sheepishly.
"Why?".
"Because Im sitting here with the most beautiful girl in school", he grinned. I had to bite down on the inside of my lip to stop myself from blushing. Yet, I could tell my face was already bright red. I smiled at Zach and leaned forward to kiss him. "Will you be my girlfriend?", he asked shyly. "Yes!", I squealed. Ever since I was little I had wanted Zach Graham to go out with me. Id always had a crush on him but would have never admitted that to anyone. Not even Abby. He smiled and kissed me again. Okay one thing was for sure. I had to get out of the game. Zach and I being together... And Zach being Luke's best friend... It complicated things. It was different before when I wasnt dating anyone but things would be way too weird. 'Ive been trying to do it right. Ive been living a lonely life...' my phone started ringing. I appologized to Zach and stepped outside to answer it. "Hey", Luke began.
"Why are you calling me when Im with my boyfriend... On a date?".
"Because I... Wait, boyfriend?!".
"Yes, now why are you calling?".
"You need to come home".
"Why?".
"Because Tyler needs someone to look after him for a bit... And dont even think about bringing Zach with you. Besides, Tyler could easily tell him about... Us".
"You're such an idiot, you know that?! I'll be there soon", I groaned, stuffing my cell into my back pocket. I went back into Luke's room and explained... appologized... And arranged a rain check before driving back 'home'. "Im back Luke", I called from the hallway.
"Awesome", he smirked from the top of the stairs. I made my way towards him.
"Where is Tyler, anyway?", I asked.
"At his friends", Luke shrugged.
"What?! Then why did I have to come home?!".
"Because... I missed you", he giggled before crashing his lips against my own. I pulled away immediately. "What are you doing?!".
"What?".
"I need out of the game... Its too weird now that--".
"What? Now that you and pretty boy are together? Well you either stay in the game or you have to do what you would do if you lost".
"But Luke I... I cant. That'll break his heart!".
"So? Its your choice", he smirked. Why did he even care whether I stayed in the game or not? "Fine. Im still in", I scoffed before turning away and going to my room. I really couldnt wait to move back home...
"Oh hey Tyler", I greeted the youngest one of the James' as he entered my room.
"Whatever toad. Where's the t.v. remote? You had it last".
"Toad? Seriously? And I dont know I was out most of the day".
"Yeah... Out cheating on my brother".
"Wait, what?! You're brother and I arent dating, okay?".
"Then why are you kissing him?".
"Its complicated".
"Whatever, froggy. Just find the remote before I make you ugglier than you already are", Tyler scowled before stomping out of my room and slamming the door. Dont even ask... That kid is seriously weird...
