Chapter 9.

So yeah... Id broken Brooke's nose and the entire school either openly or secretely thanked me for it. Even her friends grinned at me when I walked past them and a couple even congratulated me on, and I quote, "having the balls to do what everyone has wanted to do since atleast freshman year". Yikes! So we were sitting in French class when it happened...

Brooke was sitting looking at herself in a compact with her feet on the desk while the rest of the plastics were filing their nails and reading fashion magazines. Mr Dixon, the principal, asked to see Miss Leighton immediately in his office over the tannoy system and she politely excused herself from class after assigning our task for the period which we were supposed to do while she was out, ha! Luke, Cody, Zach, Abby, Ivory, Cody and Logan and I all turned our chairs to face eachother and we sat and chatted. "Oh Brooke! Look at you! Because of that bitch Lauryn you have to wear a nose brace!", I heard one of her friends gush from the opposite of the room. And it was true, she had this big ugly metal brace thing on her face. I sniggered. "Im not the first one she's beaten up", she retorted.

"What do you mean?".

"Who do you think hit her aunt with a car? She did it just so she could go and stay with Luke!".

"Excuse me?!", I laughed, turning round in my seat.

"Well its the truth isnt it?".

"No! Why would I want to live with Luke so bad that Id hurt my own flesh and blood?".

"Because you're Lauryn Baker, sweetie. Its what you do. And besides I heard that last year you killed Luke's cat last year because he wouldnt go out with you".

"What?! Okay, you're crazy. Ive never hurt anyone in my life besides you. And you deserved it. Calling me a slut? You were practically begging for it".

"See everyone? How she just turns to violence when things dont go her way?".

"Leave it alone, Brooke", Zach warned.

"Aw! Prince trying to protect his princess! You're probably next on her hitlist since you're just standing in the way of her and Luke".

"Lauryn says there's nothing going on between her and Luke and I believe her".

"More fool you, honey".

"Brooke!", Luke growled, catching everyone by surprise, "Lauryn and I have nothing going om. We dont want there to be anything going on... There is never going to be anything going on, got it?".

"Does that mean that we can be together, baby?!".

"Psht, NO!".

"Mark my words. All of you. I will be with Luke and the rest of you will be left with nothing. Im going to take everything from you. And Zach? Im going to hunt down you're girlfriend, rip her heart out and feed it to her while you watch!", she screamed. Luke leapt up from his seat and Brooke got such a fright that she fell on the floor. Everyone laughed at her and she ran out sobbing. I felt tears prickling at the back of my eyes as everyone besides my friends all believed that I actually hit my aunt with a car. The rest of the day was terrible. Everyone kept staring at me! At one point, a group of freshmen were watching me and whispering, saying that Id tried to kill my aunt and when I turned round to glare at them, they ran off screaming. I mean what am I meant to do?!
