Rebecca knew she needed to get him to the cage as quickly as possible. The medication— basically a strong steroid—only lasted for 2 hours, so she needed to act fast. She didn't want to kill him, at least not till she told Colby, so she dragged him out the back door of their house and put him in her car.
She drove off hoping that no one had noticed her and drove to the coffee shop. Luckily, Colby had gave her a key when he first opened it back up just in case she needed anything from in there, so she parked and dragged him into the coffee shop. Thankfully it was closed, so all she had to do was open up the basement door and drag him down.
He was a lot heavier than Rebecca had imagined, so it took her a while to get him in the basement. She opened up the cage door and pushed him in. She grabbed his wallet and his phone and locked him up in the cage. She sat the phone and wallet on the table and pulled out her phone to call Colby.
"Hello?" She heard him say on the other end of the phone. "Rebecca? Are you ok honey?" He asked.
Rebecca sighed. "Uhm i need you to come home."
She heard Colby stop walking. "What happened? Is Roux ok, are you ok?"
"She's fine Colby, and i'll be ok but i need you to come home."
"Alright. I'll be there as soon as i can ok?" And with that she hung up the call.
She left the basement and locked up the coffee shop before driving back home. As soon as she walked through the door she turned around and locked it before going upstairs to Roux's room. She unlocked it and went inside to see Roux sitting in her crib sucking on her pacifier.
She walked quickly over to her, picked her up and cradled her to her chest. "Mommy loves you so much Roux." Rebecca pulled away and kissed her cheek multiple times. Roux just giggled and pulled her hair. "I'm sorry you had to experience him being here." Rebecca just stood there swaying from side to side hugging her daughter.
After a few minutes she went down stairs and put Roux in her bouncer while she cleaned up the house. The door to the laundry room had been dented, and two of their maternity pictures had fallen from the wall and broke. Rebecca cleaned up the glass and set the picture on the kitchen table. She picked up the needle she had used and threw it away and she put the other needles she had grabbed up in the cabinet. She went back into the living room and picked up the gun that was under the couch and put it back where Colby had it.
Once she got the house somewhat clean she picked Roux up from her bouncer and leaned back on the couch. She adjusted little Roux so that she could sleep, and Rebecca laid there thinking about what had just happened.
Colby had came back about 4 hours later. He walked in, shut the door and looked around. He seen that Rebecca had fallen asleep on the couch with Roux lying on her. He bent down and kissed Roux's cheek before leaning up to Rebecca and stopping. He gently moved her hair away from her neck and he seen the huge bruising she has along her neck. What the hell happened?! He thought as he began worrying. He gently shook her arm and kissed her head trying to wake her up. "Hey love, i'm home." He said softly.
Rebecca woke up and i looked at Colby. "Hi babe. Can you take her up stairs, we need to talk."
Colby nodded. "Yeah i think we do." He grabbed Roux off of her chest and gave her a kiss, then cradled her to his chest taking her upstairs. While he was up there Rebecca stood up and waited for him to come back.
He walked down the stairs in a panic and grabbed her face gently. "Rebecca what the hell happened to your neck?"
Rebecca sighed and looked down. "Randy..."
Colby's head bent back in frustration. "Did he...come here?" Rebecca nodded and he rubbed her face. "What did he do, besides nearly choking you to death.."
Rebecca looked up at him and rested her forehead against his. "He knocked on the door when i was on the phone with Ash. I thought it was Montez or Tom so i opened it, and when he took his hood off i tried to shut the door but he pushed me back and came inside locking it behind him. I didn't know what to do so i just let him." She said shaking her head. "I got Roux and took her upstairs and locked the door and came back down here and we talked. Then he grabbed one of the knifes and came at me so i ran to the laundry room. I attempted to shut the door but he pushed it opened, so i knocked him into the wall and ran back in here and into the kitchen to grab some needles, then came in here trying to get the gun. He started choking me after i hit him in the kitchen and i thought i was going to fade but i grabbed a needle and stuck it into him."
She shook her head and Colby rubbed his hand on her face calming her down. "Baby it's ok." He said cradling her head to his chest. "I'm just glad you're both ok." He paused for a second before continuing. "Where is he now?"
"He's in the cage. I didn't know what to do so i stuck him there. I wasn't for sure whether to kill him or not..."
Colby nodded and squeezed her tighter. "After he put his hands on you i wouldn't have cared if you killed him or not." He said looking at her.
He hesitantly pulled away and rested his hands on her waist while Rebecca pulled out her phone and showed him the security footage of Randy. He was beating on the cage trying to get out but failing. They both looked at each other, "I think it's about time we go and have a chat."
