Lost in the City (Brollins)

Chapter 38

Colby, Joe, and Jonathan were going out today to look for Randy. They were trying to stay away from him, but when Joe got a package with blood all over it, he knew who had sent it. He warned Colby and Jonathan about it, but they never got something suspicious in the mail. The only thing that happened that was suspicious, was Amanda coming to the house, again.

Rebecca had just put Roux to bed and her and Colby were going to cuddle and watch a movie. When she went down stairs to turn out the lights she saw a white Camry pull up and a blonde chick get out. "Oh my god!" Rebecca says to Colby as he comes down the stairs. Colby shook his head aggressively and went to get his phone. Rebecca went and opened the door. "Amanda what the-" She stopped when she saw boxers in her hands.

Amanda took off her sunglasses. "Nice to see you again, i guess, i was just bringing back Colby's boxers he left at my place." She looked over Rebecca to look for Colby. "Is he here? I was wanting to talk about our night the other day."

Rebecca grabbed the boxers and pushed Amanda slightly. "Look i don't know what you're talking about but stop trying to break up our family. Colby don't want you, so leave." She said sternly.

Amanda scoffed. "Well that's not what he told me the other night. I'm pretty sure you're driving him insane and he wants me to save him." She pulled out her keys from her bag. "Anyways just tell him i had fun the other night." She said walking back to her car.

Rebecca rolled her eyes and slammed the door. "Colby? I know these aren't yours...right?"

Colby laughed and pulled her into a hug. "You know what type of boxers i wear and the size for that matter. These are not them." He rubbed some hair out of her face and kissed her. "Just ignore her ok? I've never and will never cheat on you, especially with barbie." He said making her laugh.

Rebecca smiled up at him. "I'm sorry she just gets on my nerves."

"Mine too babe, mine too." Colby took the boxers and threw them away.

And that's what had happened last night. Now they were in their bedroom while Colby packed all of his things for the hunt they were going on. In case they did find Randy, they were bringing just a few weapons. Rebecca came out of the bathroom and hugged him from behind. "Babe i don't like this idea..."

Colby zipped his bag and turned around pulling her into a hug. He rested his cheek on her head as he rubbed his hands up and down her back. "We'll be ok Becks. We're just trying to get rid of him before he gets to Renee and you and Roux."

Rebecca shook her head and buried her face into his chest. "I just have a bad feeling about this that's all. Just be careful ok? Me and our baby need ya."

He hesitantly stepped back and pulled her into a kiss. "I will. We'll be gone for 2 days at the most ok? You call me if anything happens." He rubbed some of her hair out of her face. "I love you."

"I love you too." She kissed his forehead and stepped back to let him grab his bag. She heard the door bell ring so they knew Jon and Joe were there.

They walked down the stairs and opened up the door. Rebecca smiled and pulled Joe into a hug while Colby hugged Jonathan. "Hey Becks, how've you been?"

"I've been good!" She then stepped back and hugged Jonathan. "I've missed you two."

"We've missed you too red." Jon said ruffling her hair.

"Yeah too bad you couldn't go with us. You'd be a lot more fun than this guy." Joe said poking Colby in the rib.

"Whatever, you know you love me." Colby said. "Are you ready?" When Joe and Jonathan nodded, Colby motioned for them to put his bags in the car. He then pulled Rebecca into another hug. "We'll be back soon ok? I love you." He kissed her before he walked out the door.

Rebecca waved and shut the door, locking it before going upstairs to get Roux. She hated that they were leaving to go do something so reckless, but she knew that they had done worse so she let it go. She looked out the window and saw the three pull out and leave. Roux was kicking like crazy in her little crib, so Rebecca bent down and picked her up taking her downstairs.

Since she was now home alone for a while, she decided to facetime Ashley. She sat Roux in her lap and turned the phone towards them waiting for Ashley to answer. When she finally did Rebecca saw her friends face light up. "Becks! Baby Roux! Hi!" Ashley said waving towards them.

"Hey Ash! We're home alone right now so we thought we would call our favorite auntie, ain't that right Roux?" Roux looked at the phone confusingly and then slobbered all over it. "Well she just soaked my phone." Rebecca said laughing. "How's things going?"

Ashley sat down on her bed. "It's been pretty good i guess, it's just lonely without ya you know. Me and Leah still have our boutique, and Pam still works at the Library so... how's it going over there?"

Rebecca tickled Roux's stomach making her giggle. "It's been really good. Here in a month or so we're putting a bakery in Colby's coffee shop so i can still bake. I'm so excited for it! I never thought about sharing our businesses but i can't wait!"

Ashley smiled but then frowned. "Becks? You said you were home alone right?"

Rebecca looked back at the phone with furrowed eyebrows. "Yeah...why?"

"Don't freak out but there's someone at your door. It may be one of your neighbors, but it kind of freaked me out so i was just telling you." As if on cue the doorbell then rang. "Never mind, i guess it is your neighbors." Ashley said laughing. "I'll talk to you soon! Bye Becks, and bye Roux bear!" Ashley said hanging up.

Rebecca looked towards the door and shouted "Coming!", before she picked Roux up and sat her in her bouncer. She walked to the door and opened it up to be met by a man. "Uhm, are you looking for some one?"

The guy pulled down his hood and extended his arm. "Yeah...actually i am." She shook his hand and then put hers back behind her back. "It's nice to meet you Rebecca... i'm Randy." He said smirking while her face dropped.
