Chapter 7 teaser

"Remember what I said a few months ago?" Mike asked during breakfast, Ricky has been waiting for this moment for 5 months now.

"You think I would forget about THAT?"

"I know you wouldn't, and I keep my promises." He finished and passed the keys to Ricky.

"Wait, is it here?" Ricky asked excited.

"Happy spring break." Quickly the boy ran outside the house to find Ricky's new car parked.

"Oh my god, my own car!" He yelled so loud Big Red could hear him from across the street.

"I'll ask my parents if the cabin is available for spring break, I think we need some escape." EJ said during breakfast.

"Oh my god, the cabin, it's been a while." Ashlyn said. "All of us?"

"Yeah."

"That means that you talked to Ricky?" She gave him a look.

"Ash, it just came to my mind, plus I think Ricky is leaving again... to Chicago."

"Is Chicago a big part in your story? 'Cause I think you haven't told me that part."

"If you only knew." He laughed but then got sad.

"Dad, tell mom to not expect me on Chicago, I'll be in my room all break." He said annoyed after declining 2 calls from Lynne.

"All of it?"

"Well, not all of it... but you know what I mean."

"Ricky, have you heard about spring break?" Nini asked on the phone.

"Ashlyn might had told me a bit about it." He replied.

"That means you're going?"

"No... I'd rather not spend a week with no escape from HIM." He replied faking being disgusted.

"Guys, my car broke down." Kourtney announced.

"Oh my god, what we're gonna do now?" Carlos panicked. They needed 2 cars to bring the whole gang to the cabin.

"Guys chill, James has a car too, I'll just ask him to bring his car." On a day like this James decided to have perfect timing and texted EJ. "Speak of the devil."

"There it goes my last option." Well, there's actually another option, you just don't want to ask him.

"EJ, you know there's another option." Ashlyn said and everyone nodded but they knew it wasn't the BEST one to offer.

"I can't do that, he already said he's not going." EJ was begging without really doing it trying to not go talk to the boy.

"Elijah James Caswell, go talk to Ricky now and convince him to come." Ashlyn yelled... she gave him the 'Caswell look'. "He has to come, the point is to spend the trip together, ALL of us."

"Elijah?" Everyone said.

"Hi Ricky." EJ was nervous as usual... it's been another month since these two talked properly.

"What are you doing here?"

"Ricky, who's that?" Mike asked from the kitchen.

Ricky was chilling in his room just watching tv until he had a phone call incoming... not from EJ, not from Ash, not from Nini...

"Hey." Ricky said a bit weird.

"Hey Ricky, it's been a while." The boy said a bit nervous.

"No shit." He laughed.

"Listen, I'm going straight to the point, is it true that you got your own car now?"

"Yeah, why?" He asked confused.

"I know it may be too much to ask but..."

"You want me to drive to Ohio?" This guy is crazy if he thinks I'm gonna drive all the way there.

"What? No, I need you to pick me up at the airport like... now." Ricky jumped.

"Steve! You're here?"

SOMEONE'S MAKING A COMEBACK!

I just couldn't not tease, I got so used to it that I hate myself for it lol

This chapter is not even half written so it'll be a while until it's out but I hope it's worth the wait...

But I can tell you it won't be sad... actually it'll be a fun one, it's spring break! It's supposed to be fun!

(obviously there will some drama, I mean, just look at the cliffhangers from last chapter and the title for this one)

Depending on how the story progresses, I decided that Part 2 is going to finish with either chapter 9 or 10... also depends on which cliffhanger would be the most shocking... the chapter 9 feels so close I know... BUT WE'RE NOT EVEN NEAR THE END SO DON'T PANIC!
