Chapter 21: Pyrokinetics

The fire started to grow, and grow, the dark figure came back to the fire, and she looked like she was trying to get rid of the Flames. She used a hand motion, and surprisingly enough, the fire shot down. However, the halls had melted a bit, and that would take some time to repair. Luckily, the walls didn't completely melt down, so the people still had privacy in their rooms. Sophie was still shocked about what had happened, and she couldn't see the figure anymore, plus the fact that it was dark, because all the lights were off, didn't help. She ran down the hall, and switched on the lights. She saw a shadow running down the food court area. Sophie chased the figure into that hallway. Still shocked about the Everblaze, she hadn't really thought about the elves creating it, being able to stop it.

The figure was like 20 feet away from Sophie, still running down the same hall, even though they passed the food area. They ran all the way to the end of the hall, where huge doors lay. 'Woah...' Sophie thought. The figure opened the doors and shut them behind Sophie. She opened the door, but didn't see the figure. What surrounded her in this room were tall shelves everywhere,like done kind of library. All she heard was faint footsteps, and Sophie tried to make out where they were coming from. She chose one path, and chose correctly, the foot steps got louder as she neared the figure. She saw another quick glimpse ofthe person as she looked back to tribe Sophie on her trail. She dashed if, but was soon cornered by Sophie. She quickly pulled something on over her face to cover it. She faced Sophie, and started another, but small, Everblaze fire.

Sophie stepped back, then it died down, and hadn't destroyed much. When she looked back to where the figure was, she was gone. Sophie quickly looked up at the shelves. She saw the figure climbing the shelves up to the top floor. Sophie dashed tie the stairs running as fast as she could up to the top floor. When she reached the top floor, Sophie looked directly into the figures eyes. Sophie felt something familiar about her eyes too. The figure started another Everblaze in front of Sophie, and darted to a different area. The flames again, died down. Sophie looked around,and saw the girl climbing another shelf. She was at top level, but it looked like there was somewhere specific she was trying to get to.

Sophie ran to the shelves the figure was on, but instead of combing it, she decided to use telekinesis. She used her power to levitate books out for her to use as stairs. Each time she went to a new book, the other book was put right back into its correct spot. Sopjie caught up to the figure, but then the figure slipped down some on purpose, and kept moving to the side. All Sophie could think was that this girl was clever. The figure finally reached the top of the shelf, and to Sophie's surprize, there WAS another area up here. It was a small tunnel that you had to crawl through, and it lead to another hallway with more doors... The figure reached the tunnel, and started to crawl through it. A minute later, Sophie reached the tunnel, and scurried to catch up with the mysterious girl. Sophie grabbed her foot, but the figure took her other foot, and hit Sophie's shoulder, making Sophie let go of the girl's foot. "Sorry!" The girl, shouted back to Sophie in a fake voice. Yet the voice still sounded somewhat familiar. Sophie still couldn't put her tongue on it.

They both reached the hallway. The figure opened the door, and ran in. Sophie followed her. When Sophie ran into the room, it was a fairly sized room. To her, it looked kind of like a training room. Sophie thought has she walked in a ways. "That's because it is a training room" She hea a voice say. "Prentice?" Sophie asked as she looked up, and saw him standing there. Behind him were 2 people. The girl she was chasing, and another one she couldn't identify. "What??" Sophie asked Prentice with a confused voice. "This is where we train elves with the power of pyrokinetics" Prentice explained. Sophie's eyes widened. "I don't know that much, but I know enough." Prentice said with fire coming from his hand. Now Sophie's jaw dropped down to the floor. "Oh, and also, I believe you know these elves." He finished pointing at the elves in pyrokinetic training again. The girl Sophie was chasing pulled off her mask first. Sophie felt like her heart stopped. "Oh, and I lead you here on purpose, it was more fun like that." The girl said, as Sophie realized why her voice sounded some what familiar.
