Chapter 20: Familiar Figure

Sophie opened the door to Fitz's room to find Fitz staring at her. "Been waiting, what took so long?" He asked. "Sorry" Sophie muttered. She set her pillow down on the floor, and made a small bed on the floor, as Starflight came, and snuggled next to her. She tucked herself under the top blankets, and looked up before falling asleep. She caught Fitz looking at her, and giving her a weird look. "What are you doing?" He asked. "Um... Making a bed to sleep in here..." She said confused. "Why don't you just sleep in the bed?" He asked as she covered herself with a blanket, and blushed, "I mean, it's a really big bed, we don't have to sleep close, you sleep on o e side, I'll sleep on the other, it's the biggest bed out of all of us, and we all have king sized beds!" Fitz finished. "Okay..." Sophie said grabbing her pillow, and getting up. Starflight took over her floor bed.

She got into the bed as Fitz was rolling to the other side. She noticed as he did that, that all he had on was his pants, he didn't have on a top. Sophie quickly hid her face as her eyes widened. "Night Sop-" Fitz said, "wait, you have Ella... Should I have mine?" Sophie giggled, want me to get it for you?" She asked Fitz. Fitz blushed, "Yes, please" he said. "Where is it" Sophie asked getting out of bed. "Should be in the bottom droor of the dresser." Fitz replied. Sophie walked over to the dresser, and there lay Mr. Snuggles, the bright red stuffed dragon Elwin had brought Fitz to cheer him up when his dad, Alden, had been broken. He hated it at first, for about 10 days, and all he wanted to do with it was rip off its head. Then one night he started to have nightmares, and now he couldn't sleep without it just like Sophie. She had been putting Ella away in the duffle bag every morning, so no one could see her, or find her easily.

Sophie got up off her knees, and walked over to Fitz's side of the bed, and handed him the dragon. "Thanks Sophie" he said as he dragged the dragon under his blankets. Sophie gave off a faint smile. It made her feel nice that she wasn't the only o e with a favorite stuffed animal. She got back under the covers with Ella, and watched Starflight as is stomach moved up and down through his breathes. His sleeping eyes made her tired, and she thought he looked adorable. Then she looked over to where Fitz was sleeping. He was facing towards her this time, last time he was facing the opposite direction. His eyes were closed, and she could hear a faint snore coming from him. She dozed off, and soon finally was able to fall asleep.

Sophie awoke, and found Starflight now on the bed along with Tsunami, some how snuggled up there, and they were really big and heavy. Gladly not as big or heavy as a full grown dragon, considering they are still dragonets. Then Sophie started to wonder how Starflight had gotten up there since he's blind, but then she started to think maybe Tsunami had helped him since they were both on the bed. She looked over to Fitz, and saw him still hugging tightly on to Mr. Snuggles. She laughed remembering the first time she'd heard about him. It was when they were doing telepathy sessions with Mr. Tiergan. That was also where she'd promised him that he could join her on her missions so that he wouldn't have to suffer the pain of her, and/or his friends getting hurt/killed. She smiled at that thought, not trying to think about the part where they had to share 5 more secrets, and hers weren't as deep of secrets as his 5 others were.

Sophie got out of bed, she pad some trouble because Starflight had been partially laying on top if her. She Che Jed the time and it was apparently 4 a.m. She didn't realize his early she'd gotten up, she'd only gone to bed around 9:00, meaning she got 7 hours of sleep. She glanced over at Pfitz, who's foot was sticking out if the covers, and elevated on the couch pillows, set in his bed. Tsunami and Starflight were snuggled up in the bed next to him, Starflight closer to where Sophie was. Sophie wasn't really tired anymore, so she didn't really want to go back to sleep. She decided she would go get sine clothes from her room. She opened Fitz's door quietly, and quietly closed it behind her. She was about to walk to her room when out of the corner of her eyes she spotted a black figure in the dark staring at her. She quickly turned her head to see a glimpse if a face, but not a very good one. As the black figure quickly turned its face, it's hair swung out, it's long blond hair swiping around. It was a girl, and the figure seemed oddly familiar as she ran down the hallway.

Sophie darted after the girl whom was in full black, and her figure was familiar to Sophue, it felt like Sophie knew this person. The figure didn't look back, she kept on running, and Sophie kept on chasing. Only one thing stopped her. Burning bright, yellow-white fire. The Everblaze fire.
