APRIL 05th, 2009 SAW LOUIS AND HARRY GOING on a walk in the park, catching up.

The last time Harry had seen Louis, it was at the mall. The day he saw Zayn cheating on the poor boy.

He was worried, Louis hadn't spoken to him in a month and then decided to call him out of the blue, asking if he wanted to hang out.

He wanted to think that not hanging out was not like Louis, that Louis always wanted to be around, and hang out with Harry. But maybe the boy was just thinking of himself, and the version of Louis he used to know.

That version of Louis is gone, never to come back. He's now the Louis that is nothing more than Harry's closest friend, the Louis that is 'dating' Zayn.

God, there's nothing more Harry wants than to see Zayn's face when Louis finds out about what he's been doing, he wants to hear what kind of excuse the boy might come up with in order to keep Louis out of spite. Because that's what this is.

Zayn doesn't love Louis. He might love the idea of dating Louis to piss Harry off, he might love the way Louis looks, but he doesn't love Louis for who he is. He loves the idea of pissing Harry off.

The past month has been full of worry for Louis, the boy is manic, and Harry is terrified of what might happen when the boy finds out. Harry wanted to think what he saw that day was just a one-time thing, but the fact that Louis asked him to hangout and mentioned Zayn having a "family thing" going on today, had proved to him that it wasn't just a one-time thing.

"So," Harry start but quickly trails off until Louis looks up at him, "what other than Zayn abandoning you and you using me as a backup pla-"

"You are not a backup plan, stop that," Louis smacks his arm, not too hard but he wasn't playing, "you're my best friend and I missed you. I would never ask if you wanted to hang out only because I got bailed on."

And maybe Harry felt a little bad, he still treated Louis as one of his priorities, but he didn't think that was the same for Louis since the boy had started dating Zayn.

"I'm sorry, Blue. You're my best friend, and I missed you too."

It gets quiet from there on, they find a tree to sit under and Louis pulls out some fruit he bought at Publix on the way to the park.

Harry's skin was itching. He wanted to bring it up, to know if Louis knew, to know if the boy even had any suspicions, anything. In retrospect, the boy had texted him that he was alone most nights because Zayn was always out or busy and he wasn't available to be with Louis, whether physically or just on the phone.

"What's got you thinking so hard, H?" Louis tilts his head at Harry, "You've got your scrunched up thinking face on."

Harry wants to lie. He really wants to lie and tell Louis that it's nothing, or that he's thinking about something random. But Louis knows what he looks and sounds like when he lies. So that won't really work.

"Louis, the last time we hung out, I saw something. I don't want to tell you; I don't know if you know, and if you don't know, then I'm positive you won't want to know, but I can't let him keep doing this to you." his voice is shaking, and he's terrified, but Louis is his best friend and he can't keep letting this happen.

But Louis has known since it first happened, three weeks into their relationship. He saw Zayn feeling some guy up on the boardwalk one night while they were supposed to be out on a date. He wasn't going to be angry at Harry for telling him, he's just kind of sad that he had to hear it from Harry, and not from his so called boyfriend.
