I had just landed and I was already feeling lost.
Kurt would come in a few days.
But I needed someone to talk to, right now. So I called a taxi and immediately got to my apartment.
I was in New York.
I made it.
I unlocked the door and sat down on the couch. Then I called my best-gay.
"Hey, what's up?"
I broke into tears.
"I never wanna see her again."
That was all I managed to say.
"Who are you talking about Rach?"
"Quinn."
He had no idea what was going on between us.
"Have you two had a fight? 'Cause these kind of things often happen between friends."
"It's much more than that, Kurt." I said, crying harder. "I wanna forget her."
"Listen, I don't think you want and actually you could never." He said, and took a deep breath. "I'm not gonna ask you what happened, since it's none of my business. But if she makes you feel this way, you must talk to her and fix it, and the sooner, the better."
I didn't answer. "How's New York?" He asked, trying to distract me and make me free my mind.
"Cool." I replied. "I need to go. I'll call you back tomorrow. I hope you'll get here soon." I said.
"I will. The sooner, the better." He said. "Have some rest, Rach. I love you, bye."

"C'mon Kurt, I wanna sleep!"
"But I've brought plenty of magazines to read together! C'mon, let's read just a few pages!"
My friends' voices woke me up.
Finn was listening to music with his eyes closed, but it opened them as I moved.
"Puck texted me a few hours ago. He asked me if we'd like to go to Breadstix and have lunch all together. We're arriving at 2 pm." He said, smiling.
"Fine. Who's coming?" I asked, faking a disinterested voice.
"I don't know, actually."
I turned to the window and watched outside.
I hoped to see her soon, but on the other hand I didn't want to.
It's been about a year since we two parted.
We haven't talked since that. Nor texted each other.
Yet Quinn Fabray was always in my thoughts.
And I wondered if I was in hers, too.
"Hey Rach" Kurt called me from the seat behind mine. Finn had fallen asleep.
I turned to him. "What?"
"Keep it down, Blaine's sleeping!"
"Finn's too."
"Good. What's going on in that big brain of yours, Rach? Is that Quinn again?"
"Kurt, shut up!" I checked if Finn had woke up, but he was still sleeping. I took a deep breath. "Don't say her name. Please."
"Are you afraid?"
"I definitely am. I haven't heard about her since we parted. I can't imagine what seeing her again will do to me. And this does drive me crazy."
He put his hand on my shoulder. "You have to slow down and figure things out."
"What if she hates me? What if she doesn't want to see me?"
"She's not like you, Rach. She faces situation instead of just hiding over and over again."
I frowned. "There's nothing to be afraid of, Rach. This will be a chance to clear things up once and for all." He added, and then kissed my cheek and dedicated his attention to his magazines.
Maybe he was right, after all.
We landed after a few hours.
Finn took both mine and his own luggage and hailed a taxi: Blaine helped him to load our things in the back of the car and then we all got on it.
And in 30 minutes, we were at my place.
I rang the doorbell and both my dads came at the door.
"Dads!"
"Mr Berrys, it's nice to see you again." Finn said shyly, and then carried our luggage inside the house.
"Hi Hiram! LeRoy, what a nice vest!" Said Kurt, while Blaine just smiled.
Then my boys went away to ask Burt to lend them a car.
"Finn and I are staying for a few days, whereas Kurt and Blaine will stay at Burt's house." I said to my dads, while waiting for Finn to come and pick me up.
He arrived just some seconds later, so I greeted my dads and we drove to Breadstix.
Some of our friends had already arrived.
