"Put your coat back on, I wanna take you out for lunch." I said, turning the TV off and grabbing her from the wrist, pulling her up out the couch.
"Where are we going?" She asked, getting out of the door.
"Nowhere special, actually... I just wanna hang out with you, and I know you love bacon so I'm taking you to a fast food restaurant, where you can have all the bacon you want... they even put it in buns, now. Is that okay for you? Because if that's not, we can go anywhere else. There's plenty of places we could try-" She interrupted me by pushing her lips right on mine.
"You were overtalking." She said, smiling and slowly parting.
"And I won't stop if you go on like this." I added, making her blush and taking her hand to lead her to the door.
The fast food restaurant was fine, and it took us just a 15 minutes walk to get there.
Quinn got her bacon and I ate a vegan salad.
"What do you wanna do next?" I asked, looking at Quinn eating a huge hamburger full of bacon.
"I don't know, we'll figure it out...we've still plenty of time." She said, with her mouth full.
In that instant I thought she was beautiful and felt extremely lucky and grateful to have her by my side.
I grabbed my mobile and took a picture of her gobbling.
She protested, but I wouldn't delete it by any chance.
"Fine, I'll get my revenge sooner or later." She finally said, still eating.
We stayed there for about an hour, and talked the whole time.
I told her about my lessons at NYADA, and I even complained about Miss July.
And she told me about her courses at Yale.
"May I ask you something, Rachel?" She suddenly said, smiling softly after seeing me getting nervous.
"Yeah. Go on." I said, hint of a smile.
"Well... have you read it? I mean, my-my book." She said, in a hesitant voice, looking at her french fries and dipping them in some ketchup.
She had told me she kinda regretted having her work published.
She had given me her draft copy. And I had read it all in just one night, without being able of reading it again.
There was our story, there were pieces of us.
And I didn't want to share them with no one.
"I-I did." I said, avoiding her glance - right as she was doing. "But not the one you published." I added.
"Cool." She just said.
I had truly found it beautiful.
I had kept it safe from anyone.
I took a deep breath. "You're very talented, Quinn. I know I told you long ago, but it's still true and forever will be." I said, and she looked up at me.

Quinn grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me back.
Her eyes were so misty , though she was wearing sunglasses.
She suddenly took some sheets of paper out of her bag.
They were all bound together.
She gave them to me.
"I love you, Rach." She finally said, making it even more difficult for me to leave.

"I have read it just once." I continued. "The one you gave me, before I-" words got stuck in my throat, and a painful and soft smile appearing on her face suggested me to leave them there.
"Why didn't you wanna publish it?" I asked, changing subject. "I mean, it's been a blockbuster, hasn't it?"
"Well, yeah, it has been, but it's - I mean, it's kind of...yours." She said, looking down at her chips - still avoiding my gaze.
She went on. "I changed the story, before publishing it. It's kind of a fantasy book about a girl, and it's not a love story at all. It is much shorter than the copy you have."
I smiled and looked at her. "You've always managed to make me feel kind of special, Quinn. You still do, actually..." - she caught my eyes - "...and I- I want you to know that you're special, too."
And this smile was much bette than the previous one. "Thank you." She said, softly.
...
We got out of the restaurant and had a walk.
I was getting used to holding hands.
"I wanna buy your book." I suddenly said.
