"What the hell do you mean she's missing?"

I looked at Marcus who answered his phone in the middle of our meeting. Well, he never usually answered his phone unless it's from his parents and Yielly.

He glanced at me and I can see how his face changed from mad to agitated. Then, without looking at the board of trustees, he walked out from the conference room.

"D*mn it, Jho, I asked you to keep an eye on her," I heard him said as he stride towards the door.

I cleared my throat and returned my attention on the meeting. I have to stay focus though I'm starting to get worried, too.

It's been two years since we last talked, two weeks since she arrived in the Philippines but I haven't visited her yet. I'm not sure if she still wants to see me.

I sighed and loosened my tie. It's suffocating to think that she lose interest in me after two years.

Gago, ka ba? You asked for this

I sneered at myself.

Yeah, two years ago, I rejected her feelings. But that's for her own good. I will never dragged her in that kind of mess even if she wants to. Having her beside me might add fuel to those issues. And I would never allow that to happen. Not to my dear Yielly.

But where did it takes you?

"Good afternoon, everyone!"

My reverie was broken at the sudden arrival of a sophisticated woman. I raised my brows as I recognized her.

Everybody turned their attention as this woman barged inside the room.

I just sighed and paid no attention to the woman who took Marcus' seats.

"Hey, Mr. President," she said, calling for my attention, "good to see you today."

I turned to her and nodded in response. I cannot take additional annoyance for today so I chose not to pay attention to her.

"Why so suplado, Pres.?", she asked playfully and chuckled.

"Not today, Pen," I said and shown her how exhausted I am which brought crease on her forehead.

"Already tired?," she asked surprisingly and shook her head. "Masyado pang maaga for that."

"I know, right?", I said agreeing to what she said, coz I know better than going against her.

She turned to the people who were eyeing us the moment she seated on Marcus' chair. Mr. Cruz already stopped presenting his report and waited for my instruction which was interrupted by this woman.

She raised her eyebrows and lifted her chin to emphasize authority to these people. I just sighed and shook my head at her attitude.

"This meeting is adjourned," she said with finality in her voice. She stands up and stay behind my chair. "Our president is tired with your nonsense presentations," she said bluntly which earned her some glares.

"Pen," I called her attention to stop her from saying another inappropriate words.

"What?," she asked innocently and massaged my shoulders with her hands, "I'm just concerned with the health of my future husband," she said and smiled sheepishly.

I didn't hear any gasps or protests from the board since they already know who she is. It's only Felicity who rolled her eyes as the mention of me being Pen's future husband.

I sighed and leaned forward to subtly remove Pen's hands on my body. I heard her chuckled and saw her going back to her seats.

I stood up and asked the board to go back to their offices. "We'll continue the meeting when you finalized all your reports," I said and proceeded to the door. Pen and Felicity still glaring at each other.
