13. Confession

Yeonjun spent the rest of the day with soobin trying to learn more about his job which isn't exactly a job since soobin isn't letting him do much. Not that yeonjun minds.

"so you didn't fire him yet?" asked beomgyu as he ate his bag of chips in soobin's office. Yeonjun was delivering some files to the finance department as soobin asked him to.

"why would I fire him I literally worked so hard to get him to be my secretary."

"so you're actually serious about this. Well I'm happy for you."

"you sure doesn't sound so genuine."

"fuck you Choi Soobin-" beomgyu turned to find soobin glaring at him "-hyung hehe"

Yeonjun was making his way back to soobin's office as he felt someone's eyes on him. He turned to look around only to find nothing suspicious.

There were many people around. Anyone could be staring at him knowing it's the CEO's new secretary who surprisingly wasn't fired on his first day.

He tried to shrug of the feeling and knocked on soobin's door.

It was almost 9 pm and the building was completely empty as most employees left around 6 to 7. Soobin on the other hand always leaves late and his secretary should be with him, is what yeonjun thought.

Though soobin suggested that he should leave early because soobin might get very late, yeonjun convinced him it was fine.

Soobin led yeonjun outside towards his car as he wanted to drop him. Yeonjun wanted to reject the offer obviously but soobin insisted.

They were now in the car as silence surrounded them. It wasn't awkward but it also wasn't comfortable. Yeonjun finally gave up and asked the question he was dying to ask soobin since morning.

"do you really like me"

"Are you that slow"

"but why"

"What do you mean why. Have you ever looked in the mirror?" yeonjun went silent as soobin continued.

"the moment I looked at you I felt something I've never felt before. Choi Yeonjun you are making me feel things. It's so weird how whenever I see you I want to protect you forever, I want to shower you with love, I want to keep you by my side all the time. I don't know a single thing about love but when I look at you I can tell that I'm in love. We don't know each other yet. But I would love to know more about you and show you how much I love you. I would understand if you don't want to and respect your decision well"

The car stopped outside yeonjun's house. Yeonjun was definitely flattered. A person he met like thrice has said such heart warming things to him that no one ever did.

He turned to look at soobin "let's have that date tomorrow" he said before walking out of the car.
