35. Gone

Yeonjun groaned as he opened his eyes. He slowly looked around the room, it was dark outside but the room was well lit. However it wasn't too bright to hurt his eyes.

He felt a sharp sting in his stomach and widened his eyes. Realising what had happened, he frantically looked around.

"he's gone" Oh how yeonjun missed that voice.

He instantly turned to face the direction of the voice. He started tearing up. Soobin immediately pulled him into a hug.

"ssshh it's okay relax I'm here"

"I-I thought I'd never see you again" yeonjun said in between his sobs.

"so did I"

"I was so worried"

"so was I" soobin let out a humorless chuckle

"I thought I was gonna die"

"hey clam down I'm right here. He's gone for good now and he can't ever get to you. I'll always be by your side" soobin said as he held yeonjun's bruised wrists, slowly caressing them, making sure not to hurt him. He couldn't get himself to look at the insane amount of cuts on yeonjun's arms

"stop saying stuff like that you're making me cry more"

After a few minutes yeonjun had stopped crying "I'm sorry I didn't tell you"

"yeonjun you don't have to apologize for something like that"

"No I do. You deserved to know everything about me but I hid it from you. I just couldn't tell you. The last time I tired telling someone, that person almost ended up dead"

"yeonjun I get it. You not telling me made me happy that you didn't feel forced to share things with me because that would've made me feel-"

He couldn't finish his sentence as the door bursted open reveal three extremely panicked faces.

"WHERE IS HE?" the three said at the exact same time. Soobin might or not have sneakily sent a text to the three while he was comforting yeonjun.

The moment they saw yeonjun, they immediately lunged towards him and squished him in a bone crushing hug. Yeonjun couldn't help but smile.

The hug kept getting stronger each second which lead to yeonjun letting out a small "ow" which they took as a sign to not be so violent.

Soobin also joined the hug and the five stayed like that for a few minutes. Yes a few tears were shed along the hug. And if you think by 'a few' i mean ten buckets of tears then yes, yes i do.

Taehyun and Kai had spent a lot of time with yeonjun and they were aware of what jinwoo was capable of. Just the mere thought of losing their best friend was too much

Beomgyu hadn't spent a lot of time with yeonjun, but he grew a special attachment towards the male. The two had grown quite close in a short period of time. He was just as worried for yeonjun as the other three were.

Soobin however had it the hardest. He couldn't get sleep, he was always checking his phone for any updates from the police. He, himself, searched all over the city for his boyfriend in hopes of suddenly crossing paths with him out of nowhere.

Soobin sweared that he would kill jinwoo if something had happened to yeonjun. He would've never been able to forgive himself for not being able to protect yeonjun.

Right now he couldn't stop his tears from falling. The person he thought he was gonna lose, the person who is his will to live, is sitting right there, in front of him in such a broken state.

He promised himself that he's never letting yeonjun out of his sight ever again. He'll do whatever it takes to keep him safe.
