37: Storm

The lights shut off after I heard the sound of thunder blast, everything was pitch black, and the only thing you could see was the lighting from the windows. I hear the sound of glass breaking from downstairs.

I am currently in Xavier's bathroom, I needed to take a quick breather for a minute after what I saw. Honestly, I guess that wasn't Xavier's intention.

As I wash my hands in the bathroom, I walk out leaving the door open, and make my way towards the bed where I placed my phone.

I moved my hand around as I felt my phone, I grabbed it and turned on the flash before making my way out of the room. I made my way down the hallway, as I tried my best to adjust to the darkness.

The flashlight on my phone wasn't as bright as I thought it would be.

"Ellie?" I called out as I walked into her room, she wasn't there.

The only thing I could hear was the sound of thunder and the heavy rain outside.

Looking in each room, I couldn't seem to find anyone. I assumed that they were all in the living room or theater room.

After some time, I made my way downstairs. Using the foyer since I was closer to it, as I walked down the stairs my eyes landed on the front door wide open.

I raised an eyebrow, I noticed that Manny wasn't there. Normally he's always by the door. My eyes immediately landed on Manny who was lying on the floor.

My phone dropped out of my hand as I rushed over to him, he was shot in the head.

No. No. No.

"He's dead, he is dead," I say to myself before backing away and grabbing my phone.

I walk towards the living room, and I see the windows are broken. I felt my stomach drop, I had no idea what the hell was going on.

Slowly I turned around and made my way towards the theater, I opened the door, "Ellie?" I called out before I walked into the theater.

As soon as I stepped foot in there, I immediately felt something cold and hard pressed against my temple.

"If you guys make one move, I'll shoot." A male voice said as he pressed the gun harder against my temple.

I looked around the room as everyone looked at me and the man who had the gun to my head. Xavier looks shocked and quicker than anyone can react, he stands and pulls out a gun before aiming it straight at the person behind me.

"You're making a huge mistake," Xavier tells him as he moves to stand in front of Ellie who was standing beside Kylie and Elijah.

"I don't think I am Romano." He says before pulling me along with him out of the room.

As the guy behind me moves, so does Xavier, causing him to leave Ellie.

The man takes me towards the foyer where a guard is lying in a pool of his blood, just by looking at that I feel as if I am gonna be sick.

He walks outside where it is pouring down rain, the sound of thunder blasts making me flinch a little as the man presses harder against my temple, this time it hurts.

I look around outside as I see seven of Xavier's guards dead, I glance over to my left and I see Caroline lying on the ground in her pool of blood.

A tear slowly runs down my cheek as I shake my head, the man walks me down towards the gate and stops. It seemed as if he was waiting for someone.
