Class 2-A was gathered just outside Ground Beta with All Might, waiting to hear what their training exercise would be. The retired pro looked at the class of aspiring heroes for a moment before informing them of their task for the day.
"You are going to be divided into four teams of five. Two teams of heroes, two teams of villains. Two teams at a time will be entering the training ground. The villain teams will each be given a hidden objective to complete before being defeated and apprehended by the hero team. It is the hero teams' job to uncover their objective, stop them from achieving it, and apprehend all the villains within the time limit."
Kyouka raised one hand, the other twirling one of her earphone jack earlobes. "Uh, sir? Don't you think the hero teams have a bit more to do and are at a disadvantage here?"
All Might nodded. "That's the whole point of the exercise, Jiro. In real world events, the hero can often find themselves battling not only the villains but also the odds in order to achieve victory and peace. They must learn to multitask in order to complete missions." The blond man's eyes scanned the group of aspiring heroes. "This exercise will hopefully be a step in helping you gain the necessary skills needed to do so in the field."
Class 2-A grinned, determination evident on their faces as the purpose of the exercise was made more clear to them. It was more than just another battle. It was preparation for their future.
"Alright, here are the teams for the exercise. Team A will consist of Bakugou, Jiro, Mineta, Aoyama, and Sero. Team B is Todoroki, Ashido, Iida, Sato, and Hagakure. Team C will be Yaoyorozu, Koda, Kirishima, Tokoyami, and Kaminari. And Team D is Midoriya, Shoji, Asui, Uraraka, and Ojiro." As All Might dictated the teams the students made their way to stand next to their teammates. "Teams A and B will be going to the training grounds first." The retired pro hero handed Shoto's team a piece of paper before they went inside Ground Beta. "Both teams will have five minutes to devise a plan before the exercise begins. The rest of the class will be watching from the monitor room. Good luck."
Ten students entered Ground Beta as the other ten followed All Might to the monitor room, catching the last minute or so of their planning time. Some of the ten in the monitor room tried to get All Might to tell them what the villain team - Shoto's team - objective was but the hero wouldn't budge.
A buzzer sounded off, alerting those in the exercise that it had officially begun.
Katsuki smirked, punching a fist into his open palm. "Let's crush these bastards."
Kyouka plugged her earlobe into the ground, trying to determine the position of the opposing team. After a moment, she retracted her ear and turned to her teammates. "They are three blocks south of us."
"All of them?"
"No, just three. The other two are seven blocks south."
Kyouka whirled around at the same time Katsuki aimed one of his gauntlets towards the end of the alcove they were in, firing off a small explosion at Rikido, narrowly missing him. "It was a trap. They know our quirks just like we know theirs."
Yuga aimed his naval laser at the floating glove. "How would they know when Jiro was done spying?"
"Calculated guess." Tenya appeared next to Yuga, knocking the blond to the ground with a kick to the abdomen before the laser could go off.
Katsuki looked at the villain team, grunting. "Where are IcyHot and Raccoon Eyes?"
"Fulfilling the objective. This is a distraction!" Kyouka ducked under a punch from Rikido. "We need to wrap this up. Sero!"
"On it." Hanta used his quirk to restrain Iida before the class representative could attack Mineta, taping him to the wall.
"One villain has been apprehended." All Might's voice spoke over the main channel of the coms. The next to be restrained in tape was Rikido, the teen collapsing on the ground in front of Iida. "Make that two apprehended villains."
