Jade's POV:

Well, I had a rough night so Elijah was staying with me for the day. He took me back to his place and we spent all afternoon just talking. I absolutely adored spending days with him, curled up by the fireplace while he told me tales about his 1000-year-old life. It was so interesting but the family drama was tragic as well. I loved him and got jealous when he mentions his old partners in the story.

"...And that was when I met Celeste."

"Hm," I said nodding.

"Was she better than me?"

"What?" He said in a low tone widening his eyes.

"Of course, she wasn't. Who am I kidding? I am a delight. Hehe." I said which left him laughing. (Bex enters)

"Well, she came back from the dead to kill my family. So, that would make her go into the bad ex-girlfriend list."

"Since when do you have a good ex-girlfriend list?" I said which made Rebekah laugh. I chuckled while he gave us an 'I am so done' look.

"I mean, she is not wrong," Rebekah said.

"Elijah, can I ask you something?"

"Yes, sweetheart." He said.

"In thousand years of your life, you have seen almost everything. Everything must be super boring for you. How did you keep yourself busy before you met me?"

"I am a Mikaelson, honey. We don't love the drama. It loves us." He said which makes me chuckle.

"What're you two lovebirds chatting about?" Rebekah said before sitting with us and getting in the blanket. She kissed me on the cheek and I crawled into her arms.

"Now that's unfair," Elijah said while I buried my head into Rebekah's chest and she wrapped her arms around me.

"Face it, Elijah, I'm her favorite Mikaelson," Rebekah said after kissing me on the cheek once again while I chuckle.

"That is true," I said.
"So I am losing to her?" He asked.
"That is correct Mr. Mikaelson. Now get lost so we girls can talk." Rebekah said which left me in giggles.
Elijah just shook his head and left.

"Bex?"

"Hm?"

"How was the honeymoon?" I asked before she told me all about her honeymoon in Paris. She and Marcel really loved each other and I was so happy for them.

"Oh god. I am so happy for you," I said.

"Thanks, sweetie. Ooh! I brought you some jewelry from Paris."

"Really?? Yayyy." I said before she gave me a beautiful amethyst necklace. We were just chatting while Nik stormed in.

"Rebekah!! Where is Elijah?" He shouted. We were both alarmed.

"He left a while ago. What's wrong?" Rebekah asked and got up.

"It's the witches! Come with me. We have a lot to deal with," Klaus said. He looked at my confused face.

"And you. I will have Freya perform a boundary spell at the house. You will not leave the house and hope is asleep in her room. No matter what. Do you understand me?" He said looking me dead in the eyes. I nodded because I am a human and it was the rational option. It's been 30 minutes but it feels like a thousand years. I can't even think straight. My mind is going to the worst scenarios. What if something happens to Elijah? How will I live my life without him? I am not hungry and I can't sleep. I am just tossing and turning on the bed. I miss him and I am worried about him.

Elijah's POV:
I am in a cabin. In the middle of nowhere. I am tied with a magic rope soaked in vervain. It's the witches. They were pissed with Niklaus and me when we sided with the wolves in the matter of land but I didn't think that they would go this far. I am having flashes of the red door. I keep having hallucinations of killing Tatia and even Jade. I am trembling and my heart breaks by the thought of me hurting her. I keep on having a hallucination in which I bite her neck and drink every last drop of blood in her. I am terrified of this happening. Suddenly the door slams open and I see Niklaus storming in holding the dead bodies of the witches that held me captive. He throws away the bodies and storms to unlock me. The magic of the chains vanished with their deaths. Niklaus was covered in blood as always.  He unlocks me and I stand on my feet.
"Brother, are you okay?" Niklaus says.

"I am fine, brother," I said panting.

I am just haunted by myself and actions in the future that I may do to ruin Jade. She is human. She is innocent. What if that innocence and her love for me is the reason for her death? I can't let that happen. I just want to see her face to make sure she's okay. I went into the house after Freya undid the boundary spell. It was a smart call by Niklaus. I went into the room and my heart skipped a beat at the sight. All the thoughts that were troubling me just vanished. All the voices in my head just silenced. It was such a heartwarming sight. Jade was sleeping on her side of the bed hugging one of my white shirts. She clasped and held the shirt close to her body while sleeping. I was smiling like a fool and I changed to go near her. I stroked her hair and tucked her hair behind her ear. She slowly opened her eyes and got up quickly.
"Oh my god! Are you okay?" She said while hugging me tightly. She was in tears and I rubbed her back to calm her down.
"Yes, honey. Don't worry. I am okay." I whispered in her ears.
I updated her on the witch situation. Witches and werewolves were fighting over a piece of land that they both claimed belonged to their ancestors. Her innocence while listening to me warmed my heart.
"I am glad you're okay." She said which was a whisper
I cupped her cheeks and kissed her on the forehead. I slept in her embrace.
