The red door

Elijah's POV:

I am in the woods. Somewhere lost. It somehow felt familiar and terrifying. I heard footsteps and the screams of people as if a beast was approaching them, People were screaming and crying and I wanted to help them. I tried to move from my place but I couldn't as if I was made to stand in one place. As if I was fixed at one place. The monster suddenly appeared and began feasting on people by biting on their necks. The sight left me stunned to see the very face of the monster. It was none other than me. 

I was terrified to see myself feasting on innocent blood. Although, I was no stranger to the sight and it wouldn't have affected me under normal circumstances but I just kept worrying for poor Jade's heart for falling in love with a devil-like me. I can take her life in a heartbeat and knowing this very well, she still finds the courage to sleep beside me every night. 

I was trying so desperately to move from the place to rescue the people from myself but I couldn't. The vampire strength wasn't helping, my head was insanely pounding. The more I tried, the worse the pain got.

Jade's POV:

I was abruptly wakened up from my sleep by Elijah's accelerated breaths which seemed highly unlikely as he was a vampire and an original. I woke up frowning and worrying as I saw the love of my life lying all sweaty and terrified. He was not having a bad dream. He was having a nightmare. I  tried calling his name a couple of times. I shook him but he didn't wake up. I rushed off to call the Mikaelsons. Klaus immediately rushed towards him and the others followed up. They all tried to go inside his head to see what was going on but they couldn't. I was worried sick. His state was unbearable for me. I was in tears but I did my best to remain calm. I succeeded to hide my screams, pleads, and cries within but couldn't hold back the silent tears. 

"I will kill the entire family line of that bloody witch who did this to my brother," Klaus growled.

"Perhaps we should focus on the problem at hand, Nik? Freya scolded him.

"Do you have a solution to offer or can you just bicker, wannabe oldest?" Klaus snapped. Freya sighed and took a necklace with a black onyx stone.

"I am sorry, I don't see how accessorizing can help," Kol said.

"Will you shut up? Ok, the witch who sealed Elijah's mind knew what she was doing. She used traces of Elijah's blood which linked the barrier to every Mikaelson. So Elijah'sfamily cannot go in there. But Jade can." She said turning towards me.

"But she's a human, she's not a vampire," Kol stated.

"That's what the necklace is for. It's spelled." Nik spoke up in a low tone realizing.

"Two points to the irritating lunatic," Freya commented before handing the necklace to me.

"Are you sure you can do this love?" Nik asked after I put on the necklace placing a  hand on my arm. I looked at him with my teary eyes and nodded. He took me in his arms and stroked my hair. I tightly hugged him and pulled back.

"I promise, I'll bring him back," I whispered in his ears. He smiles lightly at me. 

I go near Elijah's troubled unconscious body and placed his hands in mine. I close my eyes to enter into his mind to find myself in a forest. It was dark and gloomy. I was so scared but I was desperate. I have to rescue him. I just have to. I followed the blunt screams of people until they got clearer and clearer. I  could see the terror in my mind in every step I took but the thought of Elijah being one of the screams was more frightening. The rustling of the leaves was sending shivers down my spine that was until I saw Elijah sitting hopelessly on the ground. He was sweaty and looked exhausted. His body and face were both covered. One with blood and the other with tears. I rushed to him.

"Elijah!!!! Elijah!!!! I am here. I am here." I said rushing to him and cupping his face. His eyes widened and he released his face from my grip.

"Jade. You shouldn't be here." He said but his voice was husky as he was screaming for hours.

"What? No. I am here to save you. You're gonna be okay. Everything's gonna be okay." I said as he shook his head at this statement.

"You silly girl. Can't you see? I am damaged. Damaged beyond repair. I will kill you. I will destroy you. Your love for me is gonna be the death of you."

"Well then, I'll die smiling," I said looking him dead in the eyes. I tried to pull him from the point where he was stuck and he tried too but he could not move.

"I am stuck." He said with tears in his eyes. Anger and Arrogance  disappeared
