-------------------------------------------------------

It's Thomas Dallas's 6th birthday today. Calum has been in his son's life for almost a year now and he has been the happiest he ever been. But things have been a little different these past few months, Shay has not been joining in their outings because of the agreement they had on not to be totally involved with each other and Calum has been respecting her decision on not making any move on her, and he himself has been involved with another young beautiful model named Alana. Not to mention Shay is also dating a tall, British, good looking man by the name Will Pratt. Both of them have not officially introduce their new lovers to each other and they will have to do that today, during little Tommy's birthday party.

Shay has been decorating the apartment since this morning and Rachel flew by again to not miss a chance that her favourite little boy is turning six.

"I can feel the party vibe already, Shay", Rachel stands beside the couch while Shay is blowing up balloons to be spread all over the apartment.

"Thanks, Rach. Since you're up, can you pick up the cake?", she asks her cousin to do an errand and Rachel nods her head. "Sure, where's the bakery?"

After tying up a balloon and throw it randomly on the ground, "it's just down the road, the ones I always get those cute little buns". Rachel nods her head understanding there exactly the bakery is.

"Tommy ain't up yet?", Rachel asks me and I shake my head. "Nope, he'll be up any minute. My boy is turning six, Rach. I'm having this mummy feeling wanting him to slow down", Shay suddenly feels vulnerable of how time flies by so fast and her boy is growing up right in front of her eyes.

Rachel hug her cousin by the shoulder, "don't be over-dramatic Shay, you still have a lot of years to come until he actually grows up to be man. He is still an adorable boy". She lets go of Shay and grab the car keys, "I'm off, I'll see you later". She exits the door and Shay is done blowing balloons, she stands up and takes a look around for any last minute adjustments. She pushes the couch further to the wall so there's more space for Tommy's friend to run around and play.

Suddenly, Shay feels a little body jumps on her back and she can hear the giggles that makes her heart flutters all the time.

"Good morning, mummy!"

Shay turns her body and picks her son up,"well happy birthday baby!". She gives him a kiss on the cheek. Tommy grins so wide till the prominent lines beside his eyes are shown, Shay instantly thought about Calum and she has to call him and remind him to bring the food. It has been purely parent-professional between the two of them, no more than that. There's no more silly conversations and laughter between them, unless it's about Tommy.

She put her son down and ask him to go into his room and pick out the clothes he wants to wear on this big day. As Tommy runs towards his room, Shay picks up her phone from her pocket and dialled Calum.

His deep husky voice always has an effect on Shay's spine, but she learn to manage the butterflies in her stomach cause she's happy with her current relationship with Will.

Hello

"Cal, sorry to bother you but I just want to remind you-"

"I'll get the catering, Shay. I didn't forget, don'tyou worry. Is he up?"
