All of a sudden I heard a big whack and James had shut his mouth. Snapping out of my trance I looked forward to see James on the floor with an angry Keith standing over him.
Tonight wasn't supposed to end up like this...

Octavia's POV
The next morning when I woke up my face was still red from all the crying I did the night prior.

After getting up and making my bed I walked into my bathroom to get ready for the big day ahead. I put my hair up into a low messy bun and put on some light makeup before getting into my suit.

My heart was racing out of my chest as I locked my dorm door and made my way to where I was meeting up with the other guys that were going on the mission as well.

"Ah, it's good to see you've made it nice and early Pilot Silver! I'm the co-Pilot Oliver Andrews!" Andrews held out his hand for me to shake, a big smile on his face.

"It's nice to meet you Andrews. You must be the pilot I'll be showing the ropes to." I took his hand in mine and shook it, giving him a sweet smile.

Andrews and I got to know eachother as we signed consent forms for the mission and discussed what was going to happen. Then there was a knock at the door and Keith's head popped around the corner.

"Cadet Kogane what are you doing here? You made it pretty clear that you didn't want to be involved ." Andrews shot him a small glare. I placed my hand on his shoulder and got up from my chair.

"Don't worry Andrews, he's here for me by the looks of it." Andrews nodded and I walked outside to see what Keith wanted.

We walked down the hall in silence for a while before he stopped and turned to face me. "I'm sorry you saw me punch him. I wasn't think long and all I wanted to do was make him back off of you. He's on you're case everyday for the most stupidest thing. Also-"

He paused for a bit and sighed before giving me my journal. "I got this off of him but you were gone before I could give it back. You can't go on your mission without writing about all the wonderful stuff up there."

I smiled softly and gave him a tight hug. "It's alright Keith. Thank you so much for getting back for me." I felt him hesitate before hugging me back.

"I know I've already asked you this- But do you really have to go, what if something happens to you out there." He let go and sighed again.

I stood there for a second before reaching to hold his hand. "Don't worry Keith, I'll come back to you. Even if something happens out there I will always find a way back to you. I promise."

He smiled down at me before Iverson's voice was heard over the coms informing everyone that take off was in three minutes.

"Well, that's my queue. I'll see you in a few weeks mullet." I chuckled and gave a small salute before I started walking to the launch pad.

"Wait Via!" I turned around to see what was wrong. Keith took a deep breath in before opening his mouth. "What James read out last night- Do you actually like him?.." He lowered his voice, as if he was scared of my answer.

I looked at him for a few seconds before giggling again. "Well he doesn't have gorgeous purple eyes and a mullet now does he?" A smirk made its way to my face before Andrews and Rodgers called my name.

I didn't give him a chance to reply before running off with the others to our launching pad. My dream was finally coming true.
