"I'll spend everyday with you as much as I can before the Atlas mission. We have until the day after Lances party to be together." The tears fell and Keith hugged me back, burying his head in my neck. "O-Okay.."

Octavia's POV
Keith and I spent as much time as we could together before my mission. Before we knew it, it was already the day of Lance's party up on the roof.

After I had gotten dressed into something comfy there was a loud knock at my door, thinking it was Keith I happily skipped to the door with a big smile.

To my disappointment it was Lance, he stood there with a big smirk plastered on his face. He looked me up and down with a weird look in his eyes which caused worry to wash over me.

"Hey Lance, I was just waiting for a friend then was going to head up to your party. Why aren't you with the rest?" I gave him a friendly smile, trying to forget what just happened.

He leant on my door frame as if he was a cool guy, he's dreaming. "Well I came down to see if you wanted me to escort you but it seems I was too late. I'll see you up on the roof princess." Lance gave me a small wink and a peck on the cheek before walking off again.

I stood there in shock for a few seconds before the sound of Keith's voice snapped me back into reality. "You alright Via? You look like you just saw a ghost." He tilted his head to the side softly as I nodded in response.

"Mhm! Don't mind me!" I quickly grabbed my backpack for a just incase thing and locked my door. "You look like you tidied yourself up more then usual. Any reason?" A small giggle left my mouth as I saw Keith turn a light shade of pink.

"I just wanted to look nice for someone. That's all. How about you? You look a lot more dressed up, normally when we study your in big jumpers. What's with the change Silver?" Keith looked at me with an arched brow, a small smirk growing on his face.

I felt a small pain in my chest when Keith said he got dressed up for someone, they must be really special. I looked down at my shoes and chuckled awkwardly. "I just thought it would be a nice change for once, plus it's someone's birthday I can't go looking like I've been dragged though a garbage bin."

He silently agreed with a nod before we started walking up to the roof. "Hey Keith?" I whispered quietly and stopped just as we were about to climb the stairs. Keith looked down at me with another smile, humming softly to tell me he was listening.

I tried my hardest not to tear up as I turned to face him and gently took his hands into mine. I took a deep breath and gave him a small smile. "Lets have fun tonight as if it's our last."

Keith's POV

"Let's have fun tonight as if it's our last." I could see tears well up in Octavia's eyes as she smiled at me. My grip on her hands tightened as I let out a sigh. "Don't talk like that Via. You'll be okay, I shouldn't have told you about Shiro and got you so worked up about it." 

I let go of her hands and pulled her in for a hug. "Come on, we've got a party to crash." I earned a small laugh from her before we let go and climbed up the stairs to the chaos up on the roof.
