Harry!" I shrieked and he laughed and set me down.
"Sorry love, I'm in a great mood!"
Seeing him so happy made me smile. I couldn't help it because he really did deserve to be happy after all he had been through.
Perhaps this was the side of Harry Liam was talking about I enjoyed this side a lot. Maybe if I saw it more often, it would be easier to be closer to Harry. I couldn't help but feel guilty for what was to come
Laila's POV
It was nearing Harry's fifth match and he was currently warming up in the room provided for the boxers before he went to fight. He had requested that I attend this match because it was the semi final round. I would be watching from a private box up above the crowd.
I'm pretty sure I was more nervous than he was and I wasn't even fighting. I had only seen one of his fights during the competition and he won by a long shot. Unfortunately he had acquired a large bruise on his arm due to his opponent being a sore looser and Harry acting very arrogant about winning.
I was currently sitting in the box when I was informed Harry was starting soon. I had gotten more used to the fighting luckily but I didn't enjoy seeing him get hurt.
A loud cheer erupted from down below and I saw Harry climbing into the ring. The crowd went crazy and began chanting "Styles! Styles! Styles!" He was a crowd favorite in more than one country which was pretty incredible for a boxer.
His opponent Orion entered the ring and the bell rung to signal the start of the fight.
Harry's opponent took a swing at him and he easily dodged, and sent back a hard blow, knocking him back. He took this opportunity to slam his fist into Orion's stomach.
Orion clutched his stomach for a few seconds before nailing Harry in the shoulder. He winced slightly but swung his arm around to knock Orion on his back.
He rose right back up and threw three punches which Harry ducked under and blocked. Orion let out a frustrated grunt and ran at Harry.
Harry quickly stepped out of the way and watched his opponent smack the corner of the ring. The ref rung the bell signaling the end of the round due to Orion's fault.
Harry easily won the next two rounds and had advanced to the final round of the competition.
He was scheduled to compete in three days, the amount of time I had left before I would be returned to my family. Everything felt like it was happening at the wrong time.
I had just grown closer to him, and now I was torn between leaving or staying. I was all he had, and without someone, he would crumble.
If I stayed, I would have to come up with a pretty good excuse as to why I had suddenly disappeared for almost 3 months to my parents.
If I left, Harry would be locked up for kidnapping and probably wouldn't be able to see his family again. Not to mention Liam would expose him for all the crimes he had committed. As much as he was a criminal, he was also a good person. He was introduced to the wrong kind of people at an early age.
How I had managed to feel comfortable around a killer and former gang member was something I was still trying to understand but was also something I was more open to.
Harry burst into the room and lifted me out of my seat. I yelped and he laughed while spinning us around in circles.
"Did you see me out there?! I was on fire! I mean Orion was good but I was on fire! I'm going to the final round!" He cheered and had the biggest smile on his face that I'd ever seen.
"I'm very proud Harry, but I'm also very dizzy right now, " I chuckled and he stopped spinning and set me down.
"We should go out and celebrate!"
"I don't know if-"
"It'll be fine Lai! I know just the right place!"
"I suppose a night out would do me some good."
"Great!" He cheered and pecked me quickly on the lips before rushing out of the room in just his shorts to change into his street clothes.
A few minutes later he showed up in black skinny jeans and a loose long sleeved shirt. How he managed to pull off a simple look so well was beyond me.
"So, where are we going?"
"A nice little restaurant a good friend of mine owns," he replied and grasped my hand before leading me out of the room.
It was about a 15 minute drive from the arena but eventually we arrived at a well decorated restaurant called 'Vista Ricora'. Harry lead me inside and was immediately wrapped in a tight hug.
"Harry Styles! What are you doing here?!" The young man hugging Harry asked.
"Well I was near the neighborhood and figured I'd stop by," he chuckled.
"And who might this be?" He asked while looking at me.
"This is Laila, my girlfriend, " he smiled proudly. It was weird being called that because this time it actually felt real.
"Well miss, we are going to give you a very nice evening!" He chirped and ushered us over to a table overlooking the city
"I'm Ashton by the way!" He said and hurried off to grab some menus.
"He seems, very spirited," I laughed.
"That he is," Harry chuckled.
