"But will you stay even if we find them?" He asked, looking more vulnerable than I'd ever seen him before.

"Unless you give me a reason not to, I'd like to stay with you."

"I'd do anything to get you to stay," he whispered and wrapped me in a tight hug.

Laila's POV

Unfortunately for my parents, we were leaving sooner than expected. I had a long talk to them about my future and somehow, they agreed to let me live with Harry.

Of course, I also assured them I'd be attending school there and it would be cheaper to live with him rather than on a campus so that also helped.

What they didn't know, was that we were traveling to an island in the Caribbean to find his family which he hadn't seen in over 5 years before anything else happened.

The plane ride there was surprisingly quick and Zayn and Harry had worked on a map that narrowed down the search nearly the entire flight. Niall and I were in charge of finding lodging and places to eat. Luckily, there were a lot of options for both.

Once we had settled in our small bed and breakfast, Harry decided to go out and check a couple places to see if anyone had heard of his family's whereabouts. I insisted I should go with him and he seemed too tired to argue.

We headed out and down the streets of Plata to check out a small business that, according to Zayn, was where one of Liam's allies worked.

It made me a little uneasy that we were seeking out Harry's old enemy's allies, but Harry didn't seem to be worried about it.

"Aren't you nervous?" I asked him.

"Not really."

"Why not?"

"I'm ready to receive answers Laila, and no one frightens me any more," he replied.

He stopped in front of an old wooden building with a sign that read 'Plata Tours and Information'

"This is it," he said, opening the door.

Inside the building, there were a couple desks and several pamplets scattered all over them. There didn't seem to be anyone in sight except for a man who looked to be in his 30's sitting at the only clean desk in the room.

"We're closed," he said without looking up from his desk.

"Well luckily for you, I'm not looking for a tour or information about Plata," Harry said, taking a couple steps towards the man's desk.

The man raised his head up to look at who had dismissed his initial comment, and his eyes widened when they locked in on Harry.

"Shit," he muttered and yanked open one of his drawers.

I heard a gun click and soon enough, it was pointed directly at Harry.

"Payne warned me you might come here some day," he hissed.

"Liam is dead," Harry spit back.

"Well luckily for you, his orders still remain the same."

"You could just take the easy way out, and tell me where my family is," Harry warned, his hand sliding down to his belt loop.

"I won't disobey orders, I've been payed well," he replied, but before he could fire the gun, a shot rung out.

I looked over to Harry to see he was holding a gun of his own. The man clutched his chest and dropped his gun to the ground.
