Biana POV

Biana watched her best friend be pulled and twisted in the claws of the Neverseen members, her vision rimmed with red terror. The terrorists showed no sign of struggle at Sophie's violent kicking, faces masked in shadows.

Her breathing hitched when they dragged her to Vespera, who grabbed the blonde around her wrist, pulling Sophie further towards the witch. Sophie's eyes were wide and wild, and Biana knew if she was an empath, she would feel more than just fear.

Vespera extended her claws, laying them on the side of Sophie's face and turning their gazes to meet

"Oh yes, I think you'll be a great addition to the team, Sophie."

Sophie POV

The woman's hand on her face felt like venom coated in fire. As she spoke, voices blurred and black threatened to take over all of her vision, engulf her in dread and horror. Sophie was honestly surprised she was still taking all of this in, surprised she hadn't shut down by now.

She stared far across the empty fields, past the woman, past any people cloaked in black. Sophie refused to look her in the eyes.

Adrenaline pumped through her veins, her breath coming quicker with each second. As it seemed seconds melted into minutes, turning to moments longer than she could have ever imagined.

She heard the sound of shoes against the brushing of grass, and soon she was hauled up from her position on the ground by two members of whatever terrorist group this was. The back of her shoes scraped against the pressed down grass, spraying mud on the back of her leg.

Sophie's instincts kicked in, begging her to run. So she did just that.

She dug her elbow into the neck of the captor on her right side, throwing a wild kick out to the one on her left. One released their grip, giving Sophie a way out. She tugged herself out of the grip of the left detainer, her legs working on instinct.

She didn't think she had ever run as fast as she did now in a long time. But, considering she didn't typically go for spontaneous sprints, the quick break did little to give way to her escape. She slammed into another cloaked figure, who grasped her with little intent to let her go.

"Alright," the woman came back into view, her voice now not of amusement but of annoyance. "That's enough for this show. Take those White Duck idiots or whatever they're called and get them out of my way. Ruy," she looked over Sophie's head to the person holding her captive.

Ruy.

That ignorant swine from the movie theater, that kid from the library. This attack was planned much farther than she expected. Well, it's not as if she expected one at all.

"Take her to the guest room." Sophie rolled her eyes despite the life threatening drama occuring. The man dragged her halfway across the field, behind the rest of the figures and towards a large stone fortress.
