The summer wasn't as great as the others before. We had to be more careful around my father and Lucius. It was already like a minefield with Lucius and now adding my father to mix made it even more dangerous and a lot of change has happened since then.  

I no longer wore any comfortable knee-length dresses. So I was stuck wearing full-length dresses and the occasional high-end pantsuits he and Cissy agree on. During his meetings, I had to have on the crown he gave me from the beginning of the summer.

The information I could get my hands on I sent letters about to Dumbledore hidden under layers of magic that would only lift at his touch. To anyone else, it would look like a harmless letter to friends. Once all layers of magic were gone the letters were signed under the name Cani, and to anyone else, they were signed under the name of someone they know. So it didn't look weird I sent letters to friends at the same time so the number of times my owl was flying wasn't suspicious. 

Medusa also had to watch what she said since there was also another parcelmouth in the manor. She never left my side afraid that my father's snake Nagini may take a chance at me. 

Nagini as it turns out was human and is now forever a snake. She was also one of my father's Horcruxes. Yes, I know about them, my father wanted me to have one or two. I had refused and luckily he listened to my wishes he did, however, have Bellatrix LeStrange, Cissy's sister take me under her wing. 

Cissy obviously wasn't pleased but said nothing. The woman was after all a little eccentric, which is a nice way to put it, and as crazy as she is she has a talent for knives. Bellatrix was ecstatic to see I had my own set of knives, even happier when she found out they were a gift from Draco. She proceeded to call me her niece after that. 

She had taken a major liking to me with I think more than half of it is a fascination and affection towards my father.

And as Draco calls me Flor, Pansy Florry, and Cissy Flo. Bellatrix called me Flossy which oddly sounded childish and terrifying coming from her.

"you have another set of eyes in you-know-who's ranks, don't you Albus," Molly asked as she set down food for everyone at the table "how else would you have gotten such intimate knowledge"

Albus Dumbledore simply nodded almost looking pleased. 

"Who is it?" Harry asked as he leaned forward curious to know if he knew the person.

"You've met them once... the night of the full moon" Albus sent a knowing glance to Remus and Sirius as well as a secret one to Severus.

"The black wolf?" Hermoine butts in

"Yes... believe she goes by the name Cani" Albus said amused

"Short for Canine" Remus rolled up his sleeve to show the scar of teeth as if he found it amusing.

"Bloody Hell! She did that!" Ron exclaimed with a full mouth.

"Ronald!" Molly scorns

"Sorry Mum" Ron sinks into his chair.

The days couldn't go by quick enough, Draco and I were already packed for another year at Hogwarts.

"Florence, darling" I heard my father call to me from inside the dining hall as I passed trying to get to the library. It was one of the rare days Lucius brought Draco to his work so for a few hours I was alone.

"Yes, Father" I step into the hall my long dress moving slightly from my sudden stop of movement.

"I have one more gift for you before you go" 

Shoving down my feelings I walked closer. "But Father, you already made it up to me from all the time you missed"

"nonsense" he waved off my comment. "This is a family heirloom, it's only right you have it... took me a while to track it down" he pulled an old intricate-looking black wand out of his sleeve "The wand of Salazar Slytherin"

I took it in my hands carefully "rumor hand it was buried on the grounds of the American school" looking up at him all most curiously.

"and it was," he said darkly and I didn't want to know what he had done to get the wand for me.

I faked a smile "Thank you, Father" bowing slightly and kissing his cheek. As he practically begged for me to do anytime he gave me something.
