Cancer why did it have to be Cancer

Camilo and Mirabel were walking around town "Cami please tell me you didn't" Mirabel said with a laugh "I would but then I would be lying and I can't lie to you Mira" he said as he took her hand "Isa's going to kill you when she finds the chameleons in her room" she said "I know but it'll be funny seeing her run out" he said "agreed". The two of them continued walking holding hands until Mirabel stumbled "Mira you ok?" Camilo asked "yeah I'm fine" she said but she wasn't fine a little later her she fainted. Luckily Camilo had fast reflexes and caught her as she was falling. "Mira?" He asked but he got no answer "Mirabel your scaring me please answer me" he pleaded his voice cracking but she made no move to open her eyes at that moment Camilo knew something was wrong so he gently put her head to his chest and ran back to Casta. "TIA JULIELTA!" He shouted running into the house "Camilo calm down what's- MIRABEL!" She shouted "Camilo what happened?" She asked him "I-I don't know one minute she's fine and we were talking the next she fainted Tia Juilelta is she going to be ok?" He asked her trying to keep his voice from cracking and failing miserably at it "I'm sure she'll be fine" she said trying to reassure her nephew "will you come and get me when she wakes up?" He asked "of course" she said but she didn't need to as Mirabel had started moving "where am I? Mom? What happened?" She asked "oh Mirabel my Mirabel you fainted and Camilo brought you home" she said "thanks Cami" she said "anytime" he said "oh I have to go and get dinner ready will you stay with her Camilo?" She asked "of course Tia" he said she then left the room. "Mira you scared me I thought you were hurt" he said to her "Cami I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you" she said to him "I know you didn't" he said at that moment his aunt came back in the room "I've made you a doctors appointment for tomorrow" she told her daughter "ok mom" she said to her. The next morning Mirabel and her parents went to the doctors office and after many test the doctor came back into the room"well what's going on?" Her mother asked "I'm afraid I have some bad news it seems that Mirabel has cancer" he said at this Mirabel ran out if the doctors office and back to Casita and she fell on the floor in her room in tears Camilo found her a little while later and made her get up and go to his room so they could have some privacy "Mira what happened?" He asked her "we went to the doctors and he told me that I have cancer" she managed to say though her tears. Camilo froze the love of his life had cancer at that moment he knew he couldn't hide how he felt anymore "Mirabel I've been wanting to tell you I love you and I can't hide it anymore I just can't" he said tears now flowing down his face as he held her tight "I love you too Cami" she said and that's all he needed to gently press a kiss to her lips. As time went on Mirabel got weaker and weaker as the chemo made her weak but she had her family by her side the whole time and Camilo who refused to leave her side even for a second. One day while they were cuddling Mirabel suddenly spoke "Cami I love you remember that" she said her voice suddenly growing shallow "I love you too Mira why are you saying this?" He asked her "Cami my time has come" she said her voice even weaker then and her breathing becoming shallow. "Mira you can't leave me you can't" he said tears flowing down his eyes "I'm sorry Cami" she said and she took her final breath. Mirabel died in Camilo's arms that day and Camilo couldn't ever move on because she was his light in the world. A month later Camilo died everyone in Encanto knew why his heart couldn't take loosing Mirabel the pain was too much Camilo died of a broken heart.
