THE ALCOHOL BURNED Eurydice's throat as she pulled her red solo cup from her lips. Her curls were partially tied back. A tight black dress held on tightly to her body as she leaned against a counter. It had been the fifth party she had been dragged to since she had met Cardan.

The parties had always been amusing. Each time Cardan would try to get Eurydice to become a very talkative person, which he knew she wasn't. Sometimes she'd see other people from Cardan's friend group. Often, Elijah would make some sort of entrance but he had a date for once so he wouldn't be arriving to this party.

"Sooo, Eurydice, enjoying the party?" Cardan questioned.

Eurydice leaned back with a small laugh as she nodded. She moved her neck back and forth momentarily before it popped.

"Oh come on, we are at a party. Live life! Don't be so quiet," Cardan begged as he tried to grab her cup.

Eurydice's eyes narrowed as she jerked her cup back, nearly causing the liquid to spill. She shook her head quickly before placing her cup down and pushing herself up off the table.

"This is a party, and a party isn't a party without dancing!" Cardan exclaimed loudly before making a give-me motion with his hands, "Come on sweetheart."

Eurydice placed her hands on her hips as she let out a small laugh at the boy's wink, "Is that what you call flirting? No wonder you've got no bitches."
