They used protecting the ancestral

graves as cover to make money and wrecked the graves to grow illegal plants.

This absurd way of making a fortune gathered resentments, and the Yin Energy

was so dense that the zombies were inevitable. Chen Ming only hoped it was a

small scale.

Zhou Nan looked out at the sky painted

red by the sunset, and asked, “Are you leaving right now?”

Chen Ming admitted and unhurriedly

packed his things. He divided the spells into piles according to their

functions and put them in different pockets. He tried using them several times,

and his actions became smoother.

Then he

said happily, “You finally stopped persuading me not to go.”

“Because

I think I can protect you.” Zhou Nan raised his arm to show his muscle.

“Stop it. You are just

embarrassing yourself.” Chen Ming said with a smile, but soon he became serious

and said, “Remember to control your mood, don’t turn into a fierce ghost

and cause me trouble.”

Zhou Nan nodded repeatedly

and said, “I’ll follow what you said.”

Chen Ming bent over to tighten the

trouser legs. He also adjusted the straps and buckled the straps on his waist

and chest. The peach wood sword was too long, and the handle was outside the

backpack. A red tassel was swinging around as he stood up. He found out he was

able to grab the sword handle with his backhand and pulled it out. He snapped

his fingers satisfactorily.

Now Chen Ming looked more

professional in all black.

Zhou Nan looked at Chen

Ming, dumbfounded, and was not used to the solemnness of Chen Ming. He was so handsome.

“You must think I’m

super handsome right now. Haha…”

Zhou Nan never expected a wild laugh

would shatter his fantasy.

Chen Ming took out the

index finger and middle finger, pointed to his own eyes, and then to  Zhou Nan: “I felt your ardent gaze, young

man.”

Zhou Nan was seen through by such a cheeky man. He feigned a disgusted look and said:”Bullshit.”

Chen Ming smiled

indifferently. He just wanted to enliven the atmosphere and didn’t intend to

argue.

Afraid that the local

villagers would wait at the station and kick his ass when seeing him, he didn’t take the bus and chose a more expensive taxi. The driver kept looking

at the noticeable peach sword behind him.

Chen Ming asked the driver

to stop at the foot of the mountain that was far away and secluded. After

getting out, he touched his thin purse and cried his heart out. Zhou Nan was

speechless.

It was getting darker, and

the sun was quietly lying among the distant mountains. It was about to sink. Deep

purple from the east wantonly spread into the gorgeous red clouds in the west, creating

a contrasting scene.

There was not much time

before night fell, and tonight was destined to be restless.

Chen Ming stared at the

last glow for a while, and his dark brown eyes were reflected in gold. He

slowly exhaled, blinked gently, turned his head, and said calmly, “Let’s

enter the mountain.” The twinkle in his eyes was dimmed, and there was no longer the playful look.

Zhou Nan followed him

silently for a while and suddenly said, “Can you promise me that you don’t

push yourself too hard? Do your best. If things get worse, just run fast…”

As he finished speaking, there

was no response.

Zhou Nan became nervous. He

floated in front of Chen Ming and gingerly checked the latter’s expression, “Don’t

complain that I am garrulous, and don’t be angry, I can’t help it…” His voice

was lower and lower.

“Well, I promise you, I’m not

angry.” Chen Ming replied softly and others were unable to tell his emotion.

“That’s good.” Zhou Nan

sighed in relief, “That’s a deal, don’t lie to me.”

Chen Ming didn’t

say a word anymore. He walked into the darkness in the west.
