It was the first time that Chen Ming knocked on a girl’s door with a compass instead of flowers.

Even with the delicate makeup, Bai Yiyi could not hide her haggard face. She jumped straight up, trying to put her arms around Chen Ming’s neck and give him a hug, but she was pushed away mercilessly against her shoulders.

“Keep your hands to yourself.”

The joy in Bai Yiyi’s eyes dissipated a bit and she didn’t speak.

After entering the room, Chen Ming was not acting like a guest. He put his hands in the pockets and looked around thoroughly, “Look at the wall, the floor… all redecorated, huh? It looks much more delicate. You must have spent a lot of money on this.”

Bai Yiyi didn’t respond. She lowered her head and just stood by.

Chen Ming finally stopped in front of a glass cabinet and looked at the bags inside for a few seconds. Then he said, “I think they’re all famous brands. “Don’t worry, he came with me, so he will leave with me as well.”

Zhou Nan could be sure that this guy was talking about him because Chen Ming too lazy to make up a lie. Zhou Nan just rolled his eyes at Chen Ming who was always teasing.

Bai Yiyi did not know about that and was still panicky. She looked around and said: “I’ll get a new cup”. Then she hurriedly left.

Chen Ming looked at Zhou Nan deliberately. He laughed with pride, lifted his hand and poured the powder of sleeping pills into the remaining cup on the table. He was afraid that it didn’t melt down so he shook it.

When Bai Yiyi returned, he had resumed his original position and the cup was in its previous location.

Chen Ming reached out for the new cup, and poured water for himself.

Bai Yiyi stopped him and said softly, “I am the host. I should take care of the guests.”

Facing the minor accident, Chen Ming responded calmly and refused, “No, go clean up the glass on the floor. Don’t let it scratch my foot when I step on the floor later.” This was not what a gentleman would say, and it was totally ruthless. He seemed to be sure that Bai Yi would bear all this, so he took the chance to retaliate.

Although Zhou Nan criticized Chen Ming for being too straight and not caring for the girls’ feelings before, seeing him being so arrogant, Zhou Nan was even madly applauding him. That was exactly how you should treat a scum girl!

Bai Yiyi did not refute. She cleaned up all the mess and then returned to sit beside Chen Ming.

“Here, water.” Chen Ming put the glass of water filled with sleeping pills in front of Bai Yiyi, while moving aside to sit away from her.

Bai Yiyi looked sad. She gently combed her thinning hair and took a sip of tea.

The two human beings and a ghost were all silent in the living room. Zhou Nan didn’t have anything to say. Bai Yiyi didn’t know what to say to please Chen Ming, and Chen Ming didn’t want to say anything other than words of sarcasm.

It was late and completely dark outside. The light flashed strangely all of a sudden, making people panicky.

“You took that much money but still haven’t got a useful lamp?” Chen Ming finally found a chance to taunt her.

Bai Yiyi suddenly raised her head, drank all the water, then stood up and said, “I’ll use the bathroom.”

After hearing the door shut, Chen Ming looked at it and murmured, “She drank it all at once. Isn’t it strange? It shouldn’t be. Although it’s the first time I’ve done this, but I did it perfectly.”

After living together for so long, they already knew each other well. Zhou Nan understood what he meant and asked, “You mean, you want me to have a look?”

Chen Ming wanted to nod, but he suddenly changed his mind, “No, what if the girl really went to the bathroom? From what I know, Bai Yiyi shouldn’t have thought so much.”

Not surprisingly, after a while, the sound of toilet flushing and washing came from the bathroom. Chen Ming leaned back on the sofa and started to check on the phone.

Chen Ming also noticed it. He frowned in disgust and asked, “Can you please sit further from me when there’s plenty of room on the sofa?” He had guessed that Bai Yiyi was doing this on purpose. Now he had been forced into a corner and could not bear it anymore.
