Scarlett's Daughter [COMPLETED]

Chapter Twenty - Six

March 2014

"Mama!"Melanie shouts to her mama from upstairs, she has just woken up from her nap and really wants her mama.

"I'm coming baby girl!"Scarlett calls up to her daughter as she walks up the stairs.

Scarlett walks into the shared bedroom and sees Melanie standing up in her crib while holding onto the railing.

"Hello baby, did you have a good nap?"Scarlett asks smiling at her babies bed head, she picks Melanie up and places her on her hip.

"Ya!"Melanie exclaims clapping her tiny hands together making Scarlett smile at her daughter.

"That's good honey, how about we go and watch some movies Lizzie"Scarlett says booping Melanie's nose.

"Ya Lizzie!"Melanie squeals making Scarlett smile even more, she will never get enough of this little baby.

Scarlett brings a babbling Melanie downstairs to where Elizabeth is sitting, she is sitting on the couch getting the movies ready for tonight.

"Hello my sweet girl"Elizabeth says taking Melanie out of Scarlett's arms to tickle her stomach making Melanie squirm and giggle.

Scarlett just admires the sight in front of her, she sits down beside Elizabeth and Melanie and she turns on Snow White.

Melanie smiles and starts to watch the movie while the two women just sit and smile watching her giggle whenever Snow White comes onto the screen.

The movie ends and Scarlett and Elizabeth decide to do the cake when the phone rings.

Scarlett picks up the phone and sees that it is Romain calling, she looks to Elizabeth with a frown and shows her to the phone.

"Answer it, he probably just wants to see Melanie"Elizabeth reassures Scarlett, Scarlett nods and answers the phone.

"Hey Scarlett"Romain says sadly.

"Hi Romain, what did you call for?"Scarlett asks directly.

"I just wanted to ask if you could send me pictures of Melanie and stuff and if I could talk to her?, also if you want to talk about custody thing, we could talk on Tuesday next week"Romain explains.

"Ok Tuesday next week is good and here is Melanie"Scarlett says motioning for Elizabeth to give her Melanie for second.

"Melanie it's dada"Scarlett tells Melanie making her smile.

"Hey baby girl"Romain says through the phone.

"Dada!"Melanie says through the phone giggling.

"Hi baby, I can't wait to see you next week, you and mama are going to meet me somewhere"Romain says to his one year old baby girl.

"Yay!"Melanie says clapping her hands bouncing up and down on her mama's lap.

"I love you honey, I miss you lots"Romain says sadly, he regrets everything he did to Scarlett and his daughter but he can't take it back now, it is already done.

"I wuv you too dada, I mwiss you too"Melanie struggles to get out but she does making Scarlett tear up a little bit, she has been keeping Melanie away from her dada not even thinking that she misses him.

"I have to go now baby, be good for mama and happy birthday my love"Romain says into the phone his voice cracking at the end of his sentence.

"Bye Romain, I'll send you the pictures later and we can talk about where we will meet and what time"Scarlett tells Romain before hanging up.

Melanie stands up on her mama's thigh to put her hands on Scarlett's face, she wipes her tears and smiles to her mama.

"Thank you baby"Scarlett says kissing Melanie's forehead.

"How about we get that cake ready yea?"Elizabeth says trying to lighten the mood, Melanie squeals and goes to walk over to Elizabeth but immediately falls.

Elizabeth catches her before she can hit the couch, Elizabeth stands up with Melanie in her arms and Scarlett soon follows behind them.

Scarlett lights up the candles and the two women sing happy birthday to her while Elizabeth films Melanie and Scarlett while Melanie tries to blow the candle out but obviously Scarlett has to help her.

"Yay, good job baby girl"Scarlett says bouncing Melanie up and down on her hip.

Melanie reaches towards the cake wanting to eat it, Scarlett laughs and puts her down on the table so she can grab the cake.

Scarlett watches as her little dancing queen messes up the cake and stuff some of it into her mouth making both Scarlett and Elizabeth laugh at her antics.

Overall Scarlett thinks this is one of the best days of her life to just see her little baby girl grow up and to be with the love of her life all in one day...
