Chapter Forty - Six

March 2015

SCARLETT'S POV:

I can't believe it is my little baby girl's 2nd birthday already, she is growing up so much and has been through so much already I really do hope things get better, Romain came to the house and dropped Melanie bag off before leaving and hasn't contacted since.

I wake up Elizabeth and we both head into Rose's bedroom to wake her up so we can all wake Melanie up together.

We all walk into Melanie's bedroom and see her gas asleep with her pacifier in her mouth and her blanket over her.

I walk over to her and start to rub her stomach to wake her up, "Happy Birthday baby, come in wake up for mama"I whisper and her big emerald eyes flutter open, "There's this beautiful eyes"I say and I gently pick her up, I walk over to Elizabeth and she kisses her head.

"Happy Birthday cutie"She whispers to her and Melanie smiles softly making me and Elizabeth smile widely, "What would you like for breakfast baby girl?"I ask her and she pokes my boob making me laugh, "You want mama's milk?"I ask her and she nods, "Fine but only this once since it's your birthday"I say and bounce her up and down gently.

We all head downstairs and Elizabeth grabs a bottle for Rose and she feeds her while Melanie latched onto my boob, she starts to suckle gently and I stroke over her little scar from when she split her head open, she just looks at me while I look at her.

"I love you so much baby"I say and kiss her head gently before I continue to admire her, she finishes and I wipe her mouth before covering myself up again, I hold Melanie as she lays her head on my chest and straddles my lap, I rub her back and slip her pacifier back into her mouth.

We stay like that for another while, "How about we go and make us some proper food yea?"I suggest and Melanie nods her head and smiles from behind her pacifier, we all stand up and Melanie runs to the kitchen and shout to her to be careful.

"What would little miss Melanie like for breakfast this fine morning?"Elizabeth asks as she puts Rose in her high chair, "Pancakes!"Melanie squeals and me and Elizabeth smile at her, "Pancakes it is miss Melanie"Elizabeth says as she gets everything out to make the pancake batter.

I put Melanie in her high chair, Elizabeth makes the pancakes and we all eat our breakfast, "Now baby what would you like to do for your birthday?"I ask Melanie bringing her onto my lap, "Waterpark!"Melanie squeals and I look to Elizabeth and she nods, "Waterpark it is!"I say happily making Melanie smile and jump up and down on my lap.

"Yay, Wose we gon to Waterpark!"Melanie says making me smile, she is including her 7 month old little sister into the conversation, "well let's go and get ready then"I say and pick Melanie up and stand up and make her fly making her burst out into a fit of giggles, I grab her swimsuit and some clothes to go over it and some other little bits.
