to love is to marry。

Mona Megistus is a fine woman and a princess of her region, Fontaine. Being a princess does not mean she lives the fairytale princess story, but it was a dreadful one. For, she cannot go out based on her will, she does not have her freedom. Setting foot outside of her palace means she is asking for trouble. The only way she can go out is by having commitments concerning politics.

Mona, a young lady of the Megistus family, aged 23, has not even experienced love in her entire existence. She desires to experience love even just for once, but being a princess prevents her so. She can fathom not having her freedom, but not when she heard her marriage was arranged to some unknown crown prince. All of her desire to feel romantic love has shattered and only disappointment was felt, she was enraged by the thought of getting married to a person she doesn't even know.

They said, 'to love is to marry' – so what is marriage when there is no love in it?

"Are you out of your mind?" She asked her father with little to no respect, her chest moving up and down as a sign that she was breathing heavily from all the running she did towards his chamber.

"I certainly am not," he answered as he gazes upon the image of his late wife hanging on the wall. "Even as a royal, we have rules that we are ought to follow; and that child is for you to marry the crown prince of Mondstadt."

"But, father..."

"I am talking to you as the King of Fontaine, and I say that I make no exceptions on our rules."

"My whole life, you deprived me of love and freedom. Now you even take away my chance to find my love. Our dear King, you are such an unfathomable man." As she left her father's chamber, tears left her eyes as she walked towards her chamber, defeated and most certainly, distressed.
