Neville sighed as he saw the letter on his bed. He was grateful for Suiren's letter, but it had been a bad day and he wasn't quite sure he wanted to deal with any drama from them.

However, despite his hesitance, Neville's hands moved to pick the letter up and opened its seal.

Dear Neville,

My wish to send you a letter for the 14th crashed and burned due to Snape... A horrendous 'teacher' that man is. But I digress from such things.

I have left you without a letter for over 2 weeks. If I'm honest, I have no excuse for my actions. I wasn't in detention for that long, nor did I have enough homework to justify such a time gap.

I can't even beg for your forgiveness, because I've already proven that I cannot hold myself to a steady stream of letters. So all I will ask is mercy for the fact that I am immature and stupid.

Today I send you a bouquet to show that I do think of you, that I do care. Even when I am unable to write out a letter or choose a flower, you are on my mind. I am sorry for my foolishness, though I cannot say it will change. So instead I hope you can accept me for the imperfect human I am. Horrible scheduling and all.

Today I send to you,

Hardy Geranium, with its meanings of Friendship, Health, Joy, Stupidity, and True Friend. (Stupidity for myself of course)
Dandelion, with its meanings of Happiness, Prosperity, and Wishes.
Blazing Star, with its meanings of Bliss, Happiness, and Joy.
Wild Honeysuckle, with its meaning of Inconsistency.
English Daisy, with its meanings of Simplicity, and You Have As Many Virtues As This Daisy Has Petals.

Thank you, Neville, for putting up with me despite how frequently I take a long time to send you letters.

Congratulations on winning so many points for Gryffindor! This time from Charms even! See you can do it!

I hope you send me a letter through Flitwick soon, however with how this is going for me, I don't blame you nor do I ridicule you for this... lack of contact. Obviously, it hasn't been going well for me either.

And I will now end my incessant rambling.

With much support,
Suiren.

Neville couldn't help but chuckle throughout the letter. He didn't blame Suiren, they were at Hogwarts, at school. Sometimes things would just slip on the back burner without any notice until so much time had passed.

Neville really couldn't say much considering he had forgotten to give his own letter to Professor Flitwick as well. So with a much better mood than he'd had when coming in, Neville prepared his Vase for its new flowers and pulled out the letter he'd written for Suiren, slipping it in his bag. He'd hand it to Flitwick on Monday (March Second. 1992 was a Leap Year... Just for the information.) when he had Charms again.
