Chapter 2

Tanjiro's POV

My eyes shot open. As soon as I woke up my head hurt like hell. I tried to remember what happened, but it was all just a blur.

I looked at my surroundings and noticed that I was in a bed. Was it all a dream?

I slowly sat up and shoved myself to the bedside. I could smell various people around this place. I stood up and walked to a mirror that sat on the wall across the room. I looked at myself in disgust. My pupils were cat like and my nails were sharper. I then opened my mouth just to see canines. Im a demon...?

I felt disgusted, I somehow remember that I was told that demons eat humans. Just the thought of it made me want to threw up. I then walked over to the door. I opened it a bit and peeked out. There was no one around. I quietly sneaked out of the room I was in, out into the hallway. I walked for a short amount of time until I came to an opening.

Everything was so big, it all looked like a big maze full off hallways and rooms. But when I looked up a bit I saw a woman. She had long black hair and was holding a biwa. I couldn't see her face since her hair was in the way.

Suddenly she strummed the biwa and I was in another room. There, right before me sat a man with curly black hair and a suit. It looked like he was doing paper work.

"Ah, I see...you're finally awake". The man said in a calm voice.

To be honest, it creeped me out a little. I didn't know who he was or where I was.

"Umm...may I know who you are and where I am?" I asked the man before me.

He was quiet for some time until he eventually spoke.

"I'm Muzan, but you can call me father. And this is the infinity fortress, your home".

It felt weird, this man just said that I can call him father?

"Alright father".

I didn't like the idea of calling him my father, since I don't even know this man or atleast don't remember him. But I guess I'll go with it for now so that I don't sound too suspicious. The man turned around to face me and smiled. I gave off a small smile in response. I stood there not knowing what to do. Muzan noticed this and spoke.

"I want you to meet some people"

"Huh?"

He snapped his fingers and we were both at a platform. I looked down a little and saw some other people.

'Who are they?' I thought to myself before Muzan looked at them. In an instant they bowed down when feeling his presence. His aura changed into a dominating presence. Even I were a little scared  of his new aura.

"Tanjiro, I want you to meet the uppermoons".

I looked at him with a confused face. I then looked back at the people or so called uppermoons.

It felt weird that they bowed, is Muzan stronger than them? If so, then I need to be careful.

I looked at one of them. He had pink hair and thick tattoos running along his body. He lift his head and stare back at me. Along with his features he had thick, pink eyelashes along with golden iris and blue sclerae that looked like cracked glass. I saw a small detail in his eyes, he had the kanji of uppermoon 3 in his eyes. But our staring competition was broken by someone else on the platform.

"Muzan-sama! May I know who this pretty boy is?" A certain blonde haired male asked.

"He just looks so utterly delicious!" He continued.

I was disgusted.

That was until his head was gone. I looked around to see who cut his head off, which in the end seemed to be the pink hairish male.

"Shut up you worm" The pinkette spat at him.

The other one instantly grew a new head and chuckled.

'What is wrong with them?' I thought.

"Kokushibou, I want you to take Tanjiro while I'm doing some paper work. Am I clear?" Muzan ordered.

"Yes Muzan-sama"

"And if you even dare to hurt him, I'll make you into nothing more than dust". He said in a strict tone

"You're all dismissed"

The sound of a biwa could be heard.
And so I was with someone I didn't even know, again...

He was pretty tall and his hair was tied up. He stared at me with his 6 eyes. It was a little freaky to be honest.

The man turned around and sat down beside a small table with...tea?

I walked over to the man and sat beside him. It was a little uncomfortable. I turned my head to look at him, he looked back.

"So...your name is Kokushibou...?" I asked shyly.

He just nodded a little in response to my question.

We didn't talk after that. It was kinda awkward to just sit beside him while seeing him read a book and sipping his tea from time to time. In the end I just layed down flat on my back. I didn't have the urge to sit up anymore and just by looking at all of those eyes made me loose my senses. I just shut my eyes after a while, I just wanted to relax for a minute from all that's been happening.

I have been laying here for quite some time now. And I have no idea what's happening, so I just opened my eyes.

I flinched and my eyes widened when I saw that kokushibou was right above me, just staring into my eyes like he was targeting a prey.

"What're you doing?!" I almost shouted and sat up quickly and by accident hit his head.

"Oh my, I'm so sorry!" I just said out of nowhere.

"It's fine..." He responded.

I just felt so awkward right now.
